I wish Pakistani columnists manage to right more balanced reviews and assessments. Unfortunately, almost all have now open affiliation with one side or another. I agree with Safi saab that IK has managed to convince everyone that he is like them. But i see that as a remarkable quality. He possesses the gift of getting together people from all walks of life, all ideologies and faiths. We have seen that in PTI jalsas as well. His followers include liberals, religious minded, the rich, the poor etc.
Other than that the rest of the points raised also represent a very biased view. So essentially Mr. Safi feels that the whole system is being run by the military establishment who instate and remove whoever they want to and the 18 crore people are just fools. If this is so then the people of the country have every right to revolt against the system. And his view on KP are particularly biased. You can go through the streets of Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan and Swat and ask the people. You will realise how overpowering PTIs support really is. No establishment help was required there. And despite some flaws the PTI provincial government is delivering a lot more than any of the KP govts over the last 30 years.
