Great initiative by the Govt

On the lighter note, this government is starting the initiatives as if PMLN will never come back in power (in sha Allah).

Otherwise imagine how Rana Sana will take advantage if this specific initiative (Allah Forbid).

War on drugs was a dumb idea anyway, The US pressurized the whole world to make cannabis/marijuana illegal due to its racist policies toward Mexicans and black. Now in few days, they are making it legal federally, in many states it is already legal. Globally many countries have legalized it already.
In Pakistan, 80% of people are in prison for chars. We have to understand to control addiction we have to do two things, education, and treatment. The criminalization of drugs is dumb.

There is a difference in medicinal and recreational use or abuse of a substance.

Alcohol, though being prohibited in Islam for recreational use, is not forbidden if used medicinally. Likewise, opium and its derivatives had been used by Muslim therapists and surgeons since the medieval times of Islam.

Likewise, Cannabis, due to its medicinal properties, less intoxication is a powerful psychoactive drug and its other oils contain quite beneficial characteristics and they do not cause hallucination, as it provides by smoking up weed.

Smoking up weed causes alteration of human judgement and God Knows how many of our people have died in road accidents due to the use of this drug.

Though, there is a strong campaign in the west, demanding legalization of Cannabis, and from there we think that it is also right for us. But, I think, the western people are somewhat right as per the laws of their govt which allows Alcohol, which is even a more potent intoxicant than cannabis. Yet, on the other hand, what we do not see is that there have also been successful campaigns against the ban of alcohol in the west as well.
Though, they could not completely get a ban on alcohol, but they achieved their partial goals i.e. laws against drinking and driving, certain timings for the sale of alcohol in stores and in the bars/pubs and also mentioning the health advice on the alcoholic drinks, mentioning the safe amounts of consumption etc.

So, tapping the beneficial (medicinal) effects of a substance is ethically right, but its misuse should and must be banned. Charas is a recreational drug and laws against its abuse should remain in place.

I do not understand who gives Khan saab such ideas and then Khan saab also accept them. Why not start a technology hub, why not being online business in Pakistan, why not start technical vocational centres. Even if something is to be cultivated, why not vegetables and fruit which can be exported to Middle East to earn value forex.
