There was a problem with Faiz Hammed being next army chief. PTI was so unpopular that if Khan would have rigged election with the new army chief (Faiz Hammed) in 2023 then it would have been big backlash from people against army. They don't want another selected government stamp for another 5 years. I think army got clear evidence of Khan+Faiz Hameed plans and they acted it accordingly. They did not opened this secret even in X-army men meeting as if leaked it would have been a big negative for army reputation.
PML-N knew this as well therefore they took this risk of taking government and being unpopular by 2023. They thought that Khan+Faiz Hammed partnership will end their chances in 2023 general elections. They can easily wait for another year but risk was too big for them.

I think one positive development is that establishment will not interfere in next election and they will let it free and fair. They are tired now with blame game that everyone pointing fingers to them. If Khan looses next elections, he should let the government work but I am sure that he will chant again Dhandali, Dhandali. The problem is that Khan do not accept any other's mandate. In 2018 PTI got 24.7% votes and over 70% votes went to the parties who are in power now. This government came into power through a democratic process and opposition have more seat & votes than Khan then why he is crying?
