My understanding is that it was alqaeda that she was working for, but that is besides the point!! She was handed over in inhuman and unlawful way. It’s fruitless to discuss her allegiance to a religious organization because she did what she deemed correct!

There is no harm if Pakistan pursues the case of Afia sadiqui! She had dual nationality, she is our citizen, the odd choices that state made at a certain time resulted in sufferings of many. The fate she suffers wasn’t her choice alone. It was orchestrated by international and Pakistani establishment.State had a role in it. How can state abandon her now??
May be we can’t bring her back because we are a weak nation!! But it’s no one else’s job!!

Narrative that is built around Afia sadeequi’s imprisonment is not entirely incorrect!! What bothered the nation was the obscure way in which Afia was abducted right infront of her home and taken to America, her little kid was held in Afghanistan for a long time, God knows what he suffered there. He was later recovered.
There is a religious element to this whole episode as well!!
Now Raymond Davis was returned to America ,after killing Pakistanis in broad day light, but not without twisting law , atleast some legal procedure was adopted. No one bothered to do that for Pakistani nationals!!
Why should any politician not build a narrative against this practice???
