no disagreement with you on the past rulers performance, but facts remain facts, now whether it were courts ( courts are sold out according to you guys) or whatever, the sitting govt of that time put him to death, as opposed to the clown show we see daily during this tenure, any govt can take multiple steps to delay such proceedings but it wasn't done.
this is also a fact that khan played politics on this issue against noon during faizabad dharna, media coverage of that time and media gag of today is another factor that should open your eyes, this is also a fact that during this current crisis, no visible or intelligent panning seem to be in place from the time they arrested junior rizvi till today.
i wan to see khan succeed or any govt which goes against mulla brigade but i do point out from time to time when some members are hell bent on putting everything on the past ad conveniently exonerating current setup of any blame.
What I was trying to point out to you is governments (no matter which) have to implement court decisions and they have cover of judiciary so its easier to implement. Mumtaz was hanged during nawaz tenure. It was Asia's Masih case that unlimately led to killing of salman taseer and subsequent hanging of mumtaz qadri. So a bigger/more sensitive decision than qadri's hanging was implemented during current governments tenure (wajabul qatal ka bayan bhi issi faislay kay baad aya tha) and at that time it was reasonably handled.
I fail to understand what has sold out courts to do with matter under discussion. But since you mentioned maybe you'd like to shed light on the functionality and independence of Judical system of Pakistan.
Unfortunately all political parties, without exception, when in opposition tries to take political millage from these similar issues but have to face the consequences when in power.
But to say (or agree) that nawaz played smart when it comes to these issue is a blatant disregard to the history. One tenure in which these groups were let loose and made into a force which they are now was zia's tenure. Where was nawaz standing than? Decades have past by since than but we still reap what we sow than. Nawaz and his party has all along done politics on religious, sectarian and ethnic divide.
Having said all that current matter could have been dealt with much better. But the fact remains we have created a force/ a state within a state over decades which cannot be undone easily.
Someone pointed out nawaz played smart by keeping quiet. By keeping quiet and by hanging of one mumtaz qadri this force ain't going anywhere. Waisay keep this issue aside, has nawaz given policy statement on any other critical issue, all he could talk about was qeemay wala naan, dal, payas etc.
