Unfortunately none of two "riwayats" are true. Prophet Solomom/Sulayman's temple was completely destroyed only the western wall of it remains, which is also called the wailing wall today, one of Jews most holiest sites. And there was no such thing as a mythical night journey where the Prophet s.a.w was miraculously transported to this mosque, this mosque did not even exist during the Prophet s.a.w's lifetime.

The Mosque you see now was first started by Hazrat Umar r.a where he made a small masjid for prayers, later Abdul Malik expanded into in to a bigger mosque.

We need to stop believing whatever anybody tells us about anything with 0 verification

Actually Quran clearly states about the night Journey and mentions Masjid Al haram and Masjid Al Aqsa by name. Yes the Masjid Aqsa didn't exist in its current form but the location was known because of the wailing wall and Dome of the rock. Even Al haram was not the mosque but a place of Idol worshipping at that time but Quran called it a mosque. With this verse Allah not only sanctify the original status of these two places but also foretold the future.

Exalted is He who took His Servant [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] by night from al-Masjid al-Ḥarām to al-Masjid al-Aqṣā, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing. (1- 111)

Start of 15th para of Holy Quran clearly states it ....... And significance of Masjid Al Aqsa is not due to some stone walls but because of being its Qibla e Awwal and because of it being the most revered site after Masjid al Haram and Masjid e Nabawi SAW as per Hadeeth......

Masjid Al Aqsa literally means a far away masjid or the farthest place of prayer. There was no masjid at that time or nor was it know as masjid al Aqsa, that name was given to it later. The ayat's farthest place of prayer could be in the heavens itself or somewhere else, also talks about its surroundings as blessed, nothing is or was blessed about its surroundings at that time, just old city, in fact at that time, Romans ruled Jerusalem and every one knows what they got up to.. Even Hazrat Omar r.a didn't give it much importance when he visited Jurusalem, nor did he pray there or pray facing it. Just made a small prayer house to mark the spot.

So there is literally nothing that ties modern Masjid Al Aqsa to the "Masjid Al Aqsa" mentioned in the Quran.

This concept only came into being after the reign of the Kalifah Rashidun, before that it was never imagined as we imagine it today.

Read above. And it was the Qibla al awwal only because Prophet Sulayman built a big temple there, of which the wailing wall stands. And being qibla awwal has no importance at ALL! Read how Hazrat Omer r.a treated this qibla awwal. There is absolutely zero religious importance of qibla awwal. This again is a modern man made concept.

Take out religious zealotry, all what the mulllahs have fed you and think with a clear head, using logic and critical thinking. Don't worry you won't be committing blasphemy nor will you become murtad.

In fact Islam is against blind faith and worship and asks you again and again to use your reasoning. Don't just assume what ever you've been told or read to be final and the end all of everything. Learning and new discoveries never end.

Arabs were fully aware of what Masjid Aqsa meant because they were the progeny of Ibrahim. The current-day Mosque wasn't there, but the Arabs knew of the Temple Mount, which was never removed, even during the Roman era. Saying that there was no Masjid is similar to saying there was no Masjid in Makkah, then why Quran called it Masjid Al Haram. The Arabs asking for the description of Jerusalem from the Prophet (PBUH) after he told them about his journey was very much indicative that Arabs knew where the "farthest mosque" was.

Hazrat Omar paid particular attention to this place. When he visited Jerusalem, he found the location of where once the Jewish temple stood. So he ordered to cleanse the site and build a mosque there, which was understandably very small.

If you think that surroundings are not blessed, you need to read the history of that place.

All the significant Muslim scholars throughout history knew that Temple Mount in Jerusalem was mentioned in the Quran as Masjid Aqsa. So what is the reason we should deny their understanding over your interpretation with no solid background? Yet, you are insisting and, rightly so, not to accept things without thinking about them.

It is mentioned in Hadeeth that after Prophet SAW described the very ‘physical’ structures of Masjid Al Aqsa to the mushrikeen e Makkah , they got convinced of his nightly journey to Jerusalem as few had been there themselves .....
Al Aqsa is sacred because Allah SWT chose it to be Qibla Awwal ..... No other mosque in the world has that significance.....
No further discussion on this topic with you .....
May Allah guide us all to the right path .....

Watch from 1:30 onwards

And what description, it was a pile of rubble at that time. Stop basing your deen and religion on hadith rather than the Quran.

P.S : Can you also mention what hadith you are talking about? Book and number if you don't mind

As per the current mullahite Muslims. 2 blessed mosques are in mecca and Jerusalem. And there is no importance of the mosques in medina. But According to the quran 2 blessed ones are in mecca and medina and it has been blessed since 1500 years. But for Jerusalem it is nothing short of zarrar mosques.

Dear you are wasting time to the illiterates. There is no differences between hindus believing in idolship, no difference between Jews believing in upcoming of new prophet and these Muslims. They all are same.
There is no harm is presenting knowledge to the people. what they choose to do with it, is totally up to them. I for one am always on the hunt and do not dismiss anything unless I myself have verified it.

I grew up believing all of this myself, because I did not know better and people who I thought did know better were saying these things so it must be true. And of course we are taught since childhood never to question anything. Everything told to us is set in stone.

Religion is not complete without Holy Quran and Hadeeth as Allah SWT clearly mentioned in Quran to follow what Prophet PBUH teaches .....
