*WHO STABBED IMRAN KHAN IN THE BACK?*
A message written by Gen Bajwa himself is being disseminated giving a fake narrative of how Army is nuetral and in fact they tried to save Imran Khan. Please be weary of such a piece of misleading information.
It's a fact that Army tried to take credit for everything that IK's govt ever did. In fact it was Army that gained from the full perception of one page and nationalist politics that was prevalent in PTI's time. It was a PM who stood by his Army...giving them full support. It was this open trust given to Gen Bajwa by IK that allowed voices like Maryam Nawaz, Gul Bukhari, Hussain Haqqani, Taha Siddiqui and Ali Wazir subside. IK did everything to strengthen his Army, even now when he knows who was the real wolf in sheep's clothing, IK is still not going all out like loud mouthed Nawaz Shareef who gave open threats to Gen Bajwa and DG ISI and all Army threatening to reveal state secrets, not naming Kalbhushan Yadav, and telling us "problem was inside our house".
Also, it was because of this full confidence given by IK to Gen Bajwa that he started getting larger than his shoes. First thing, he started pressuring IK for, was to go to IMF, despite IK's much resolve to not do that...he pushed IK into the decision. Secondly, he brought TLP to pressurise IK so that he doesn't go all out against NS and company (remember Gen Bajwa was always MNS's guy, those who know Gen Ejaz, should know that well, should also have exact knowledge how/when/where the deal was cut with Shareefs by Gen Bajwa. So, the time when Gen Bajwa took charge was a time when Army brass was hell bent in getting rid of Shareefs. Bajwa was handpicked by Shareef and ambition was what he had in abundance. He needed time to make postings and appointments in Army to tame them accordingly. He could not save MNS completely but he could deliver in a few years provided he got an "extension". Bajwa offered two things to his "selectors"; the Shareefs:
1. Gradual release of pressure and court cases
2. A way back into power by proving IK a failure.
Hence started the pressure tactics for this two-pronged strategy.
In his very first meeting with journalists, the new PM told anchors of Geo and a few other channels, that GB is asking him to let NS go but he doesn't want to.
The new, straight and relatively simple PM had no idea what was the real game yet he kept on reiterating publicly, "main NRO naheen doonga". Had anyone realised why the poor man kept on shouting that again and again? He was giving the message to GB. That's precisely why Maryam Nawaz mocked him and said, " who are you to give an NRO?"
So when IK didn't listen, a nasty game was played and GB gave full support to Maulana Fazlur Rehman to put pressure on an upright IK. Check the dates. GB successfully cut a deal and allowed NS to flee under the garb of the first dharna.
Meanwhile GHQ started rumours of "magic of Banigala" and a constant mantra that the new government is useless. This mantra was accentuated in unison by the opposition which hated IK. IK resisted giving laxity to anyone but Army started putting it's weight to let every thief go scot- free.
There was a general consensus to portray this govt as a failure and acting as if GB himself was doing everything while in reality he was cutting the roots of the new government. GB tried his best to let Maryam Nawaz go to London too but by that time IK had started understanding the game a bit. GB almost allowed SS to leave Pakistan, only to be stopped by IK at the airport. Military under GB signalled the opposition to bring dharna number two with Maryam. Maulana FR and Bilawal all acting as his puppets. Under the garb of this pressure, he got his extention. Has any clever person ever asked this question to themselves that if Mian Nawaz Shareef was actually ousted with the help of General Bajwa, why in the world PMLN came in parliament and gave an extension to GB? Why? Not only did they give an extension but assured another extension gateway as well.
Or another question, How come the anchor Imran Khan forewarned in Dr Moeed Pirzada's show that a deal had been struck and MNS would be leaving for London on health grounds? The clip is still available and it was said months before NS fell sick and then left the country.
Now, started the PDM season and Bilawal and Maryam were promised a fair share in elections of Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK. When the then DG ISI refused to be part of that conspiracy against the elected govt and he allowed the election to be fair, it was a problem for General Bajwa. This resulted in Gen Faiz getting closer to IK and distance sprung between GB and GF and GB and IK.
So, IK started getting to know the intrigue that GB was doing but he kept quiet. Meanwhile, GB called reporters and made plans of going all friendly with India, all reporters were shocked, why now? Why at a time when India was under pressure by the western media post 5th Aug and IK's strong stance of calling Modi, Hitler and Hindutva regime of BJP as Nazi regime, was putting them on backfoot. Why now go for a dialogue when it's India that benefits? GB tells this long story of how his tankswere getting old and how they could fight for the rest of their lives and not get Kashmir back, like ever. Check article in UK's newspaper which says that the only person standing as hindrance and hawk between friendship on India and Pakistan was then PM Imran Khan. IK has repeatedly said that he is not anti-India but because of blood of Kashmiris, he cannot talk unless Kashmir issue is resolved. Reporters are shocked by this reality check by GB that Army wants to be all friendly suddenly with India. ISPR plans a friendly program with their favorite anchors and makes them do friendly appeasing shows for India from LoC. Seemed like GB was in a massive hurry. Meanwhile, a senior officer from PAF tells one of the reporters that GB is known in the western world as a General that will never go to war. Who benefit with such image?
Two days after GB's longest interaction last Ramzan with journalists, IK called a few journalists at PM house and told them clearly that "there will be NO DIALOGUE" with India until and unless the henious act of August 5th is revoked.
Message sent clearly not just to India but to his own Army Chief who could not wait
to shake hands with his Idian counterpart. Peace with India was a life long dream for General Bajwa. In his younger days, during one of his courses in a European country, he actually wrote a piece of friendship between India and Pakistan, making certain quarters taking notice. This dream of Gen Bajwa's of making history in his own way was exactly the same dream that Mian Nawaz Shareef had had, since a long time. This time it was the General's dream vs IK's strong stance.
So IK had to be removed. Meanwhile IK started getting too cosy with Chinese, GB travelled to China and ensured he got the news of his great welcome in China printed and published in prominent places with help of his pet ISPR . What happened in Afghanistan was with assistance of ISI, but when Gen Faiz made a silly mistake of becoming too prominent in Afghanistan by flashing his tea cup in the air and chiding a US reporter "that all will be well', this gave General Bajwa the much awaited opportunity to start turning his comrades against GF. GB convinced his colleagues that GF had been too compromised, too exposed, hence it was time to transfer him out of ISI (in reality, GB wanted a hand picked person at the all important position of DG ISI, who could help him cultivate his plan to bring Shareefs back into the political fold and not spill the beans of his plan to the prime minister as was consistently done by GF).
Meanwhile all the help IK got for legislation was via Gen Faiz hence his removal was unevitable and his transfer was announced without informing the PM. Maryam Nawaz did not even hide her pleasure at the departure of Gen Faiz as she stood with a kid in her lap for full media gallery at the convention of missing people and announced bad days would be over once GF will be posted out. It's all on record.
With one master stroke of his pen, GB isolated GF forgetting that Maryam Nawaz was the orchestrator of Dawn leaks, and it was Army vs PMLN and Maryam Nawaz not GF vs Maryam Nawaz. Gen Bajwa broke the nationalistic shield that Pak Army got in the form of firm patriotic PTI. One page was a problem for Pakistan's enemies. For years, Pakistan had had tensions between civil military, giving a perfect opportunity to arch rival India to mock us through their anti Pakistan rants on electronic media.
It was after years that Pakistan had been working as a state much to the chagrin of Pakistan's enemies.
Once GF was gone, it was numbered days count down for IK. In the backdrop, another important development was taking place. Army leadership promised air bases to the US to help them keep an eye on Afghanistan, a tricky situation which could lead Pakistan right into the lap of terrorism which Pak Army had eradicated with utmost sacrifices (check stories in New York Times, Washington Post and Reuters – all suggesting those developments). It appeara now, that Pakistan's chief executive PM Imran Khan was kept out of the loop.
According to a NY Times story, CIA director travelled to Pakistan and he was told by GB that Pak Army was ready to cooperate in this new phase of war on terror, providing all essential strategic and non-strategic aid including the prime prize of giving Pakistan's airspace and bases.
However there was a problem and which was this ONE man, IK. Meanwhile IK realising his COAS is making this deal behind back, gave the statement to a HBO reporter...Absolutely NOT, deterring the plans of Gen Bajwa and the Americans.
The rest is history. Now US also realised that this one man was the problem in their designs for the region. So, they sent this message to Gen Bajwa for helping the opposition in the upcoming Vote of No Confidence.
The message was picked up by the agencies and given to IK. PM called GB and asked him about it.
GB with his gift of the gab convinced IK to remain silent until the upcoming OIC conference was held in Islamabad. The argument was that Pakistan could not raise voice against the US while it was practicing a magnanimous diplomatic exercise like the OIC conference.
In addition, Russia's trip had also taken place with full support of GB. GB was in loop before going, during the trip and even at return. Yet, unfortunately a double game was played with IK on Russia trip. After giving full support to IK and heavily encouraging IK to visit Russia, Gen Bajwa sought help with the ISPR who called their pet reporters and "tipped" them with information that the PM had decided to embark to Russia without the consent of Gen Bajwa.
Meanwhile clock was ticking and GB was taking no action on the said infamous letter, left with no choice, IK decided to go public yet never embarassed his COAS.
Even in his interactions with journalists throughout March/April, IK never uttered a word against COAS or Army. During one of the meetings, every journalist coaxed him, Kashif Abbasi going to lengths to make this speech which meant that there was an elephant in the room but PM was refusing to see that elephant. The journalists also told IK that the whole narrative of GB being 'nuetral', in reality entailed his active support for the joint opposition, yet IK refused to say a word against GB. However, at one point IK said: "I know each and everything but I will never embarass my Army because that will only make enemies of Pakistan happy and will only damage our country...I will not do that."
That's why IK never tried hard enough to buy back or lure PTI MNAs or allies as he knew the deal was sealed with the strong local orchestrator of this game.
However, at that point IK had full confidence in Supreme Court. That's why the one sided draconian decision of SC which became totally blind to the actual circumstances came as a shock and a heart pain to IK.
According to an officer (Major) retired from Army, "SC decision had string Bajwa footprints everywhere.... surprisingly the language seemed military as well".
The fatal mistake made by the script writers was one in an otherwise flawless CIA plan of regime change in Pakistan.
The flaw was that they underestimated the public power that IK had.
In his meeting with journalists, IK said: "We got many shocks, local bodies, by elections surverys all showed that we were unpopular. They made a mistake of thinking people had left me."
So, now all IK has...power of Allah as well as that of public. Will that be enough? The deed has been done. He has been voted out. Phase one of regime change plan successfully implemented. The phase 2 includes a nasty campaign against IK to prove him a corrupt and an incompetent man, target his family, possibly ban PTI through foreign funding case and do a massive PR exercise for General Bajwa. The planted story of BBC which was cosmetically rebuked by ISPR, was also an attempt to malign IK. They are already trying to stiffle all the voices in favour of IK by witch hunting the media. Also, a ferocious campaign has been in action to discredit the theory of the letter and conspiracy. So what options does IK have?
He said: "We will fight", he is fighting. Seems like he's already burnt all his boats.
Shame on those who call him narcissist, do they know who he really is? His whole life has been a mission to help his countrymen. If anyone fits the definition of narcissism, it's none other than Maryam Nawaz with whom GB struck a deal. And they call him corrupt with a menial 'tosha khana' scandle where he did nothing beyond law. IK has been raising funds all his life. He has sold many such gifts in the past for his hospital and university and he did the same by legally buying things. He broke no law. If anyone is answerable, it's one man General Bajwa, who has single handedly taken Pakistan into utter chaos. Now, we may know who stabbed Siraj ud-Daulah in the back? And why Imran Khan reminded us the story of Mir Jafar?
