I would like to inform you some very serious concerns about APS DCI Islamabad, Please avoid admissions of your children in evening shift of APS, DCI due to these reason. Please note I have collected these issues after consulting all the parents of a particular class. Children are being adversely affected from the discernible discriminations being observed for evening shift vis-à-vis morning shift at Army Public School, DCI. Almost all the parents complaint that their wards are getting inferiority complex due to discreminatory behavior between the two shifts. They might end up in any personality disorder in their wards.
- There are no Quran (Tajweed) Classes for evening shift, however the students of morning shift are learning Quran as part of their time table.
- There are absolutely no sports activities for the students of evening shift. The students of evening classes are deprived of these healthy activities, which is adversely affecting their mental health.
- The computer classes of evening shift are either unattended or attended free class.
- Frequent change in teachers of various subjects have been noticed, which is adversely affecting the academic performance of children.
- Most of the issues were repeatedly highlighted to APS Management, however no action has been taken. This shows their professionalism.
- Teachers behavior towards students is rude and rough. They even don’t answer the questions asked by students and instead of answer they bully students to stay attentive during class so that repeatations may be avoided.
- There is absolutely no time table / schedule for the classes.
- Students also complaint about ill-discipline at school and no rule situation. A few parents also complaint that theirs wards are learning bad words from the school.
- Students of evening shift are not allowed to attend the events planed for morning shift; neither similar events were planned for evening shift.
- Parents also complaint that for queries if they call class teacher, they don’t reply for two / three days. If they are contacted through text on whatsapp, they reply rudely and after days delays.
- Even one of the mother told me that her son daily ask her, I quote “Mama hamara koi function kiyo nahi hota, please aap Principal say baat karain na kay hamara function bhi karwaya karain”.
- Moreover most of the parents told me that they have also highlighted these issues many times to APS Management but the situation is not improving.
- The number of students evening classes are more than the available seats. It has become their daily routine that they have to bring (themselves) extra chairs from other classes.
- There are invariably two to three free periods every day due to nonavailability of teachers, the students of evening shift are lagging far behind in syllabus as compared to morning shift.
- During evening time Girls and Boys sits in the same class room, however during morning time there are separate class rooms for Girls and Boys.
- Extracurricular activities help children to develop their social skills and learn how to work in a team to achieve a shared goal. These activities allow children the opportunity to explore different areas of interest, increase self-confidence, build leadership skills and even improve grades. However, it has been noted that the extracurricular activities like Music, PT classes etc. are available only in morning shift. Students of evening shift are deprived of all essential extracurricular activities.
- It is common knowledge that children are easily distracted and bored therefore school trips are arranged to give students the chance to experience new venues and give them a chance of excitement and fun. Worldwide studies show that education / field trips make the students more empathetic and tolerant. Sadly, the educational trips for students are only being arranged for the students of morning shift only.
