No choice but to raise the unit price of electricity. The only option is whether to do it in one go or stagger the increase over a couple of years. One thing govt can do is reduce the gst and other taxes on electricity so that some relief can be given to consumers.

But when the dollar is depriciating then what is the need to raise power prices. They have already saved 4-5% on their payments.
