I live in a major oil producing country and will be paying 121pkr per liter. Figure out the rest for yourself if price is cheap or expensive in Pakistan

no doubt you are only here to increase your post count or you wouldn't be spewing your bongees on every thread every day

care to tell us nominal gdp of the country you live in and the poverty levels?? and the impact of higher fuel cost on poverty?

living in oil producing country doesn't mean that it has to be cheap there, Norway has always had one of the highest fuel prices for their population

A naan roti in a fore3ign country can cost 1£ or 1euro, does that mean it should be 220 rupees or so in Pak?

So are you saying oil should be cheaper in Pakistan because it has a lower GDP?? Fun fact for you...Pakistan and most other countries import oil and the sellers do not care what your GDP is. If it's a high rate to buy then oil will be just as expensive in Pakistan as in France.

never said that, oil should be somewhat subsidized in Pak due to its insane effect on inflation, but not to the extent of a freebee

only exposed his logic

First learn some etiquettes and manners, 2nd to answer your question. They are equally proportionate. A driver who earns between 90k to 110k in rupees pays 23k to 45k just in rent for a tiny room with just enough space to put a bed in. Now what kind of house can you rent in Pakistan for 45k per month vs tiny room?

And this is excluding all his expenses, which can easily come up to another 20 to 30k and then on top of that he also has to send money home. Not to mention the small fortune of on average of around 250k he has spent from pocket on getting a driving license to get work as a driver. Because getting a driving license here in no lesser achievement than getting a degree. here.

So paying 125-7 for a liter of petrol there stings the lower to middle class person just as much as paying AED 2.60 for liter here.
