They need to use Local Raw material otherwise it will be a FOREX drain.
I think they are locally manufacturing it.

Right but construction industry needs to go for modern/new materials. Currently there are chronic maintenance/repair issues in housing due to old materials and old construction practices.
In the long and short run, repair/maintenance and insulation are the main issues for homeowners besides costs.
This, as stated in the video, is a locally fabricated steel structure which ( which perhaps is not so desirable)- but many other innovations are available/possible to maximize the use of local matriarchs - however old brick+unprocessed wood+mortar+wiring/piping is also not the way to go.. Of course huge investments in the coming 5-7 year will bring much innovation to housing industry The video tells, the unit is 43% better insulated - which is not good -it should be many times better than existing houses even if the cost is some higher.

The problem is that our construction quality is very slow. Illiterate people with money are building sub standard things just to double up their profits. No standard is followed. Hafeez centre is a recent example, the whole building was grounded due to fire as no one follows fire safety rules in here.

Europe , north america and all other modern world using this kind of material and technology to build houses and buildings, which is low cost and well efficient. Hopefully this will be great great achievement for people of Pakistan life game changer plan. In Shaa Allah

It is always a hard choice but I'll always go for new materials and technology. Labor adopts to new job skills if enough money is being pour in an industry.
Home/construction industry is huge and multiplier -- Even in west, where there is much fabrication and mechanization, home construction industry generates large number of jobs to pull up economy from the bottom. Besides generating direct/indirect construction/home related job, home market generates many permanent service related jobs like in malls health, education etc.
IMO new and processed prefabricated material construction should be adopted as much possible and as much it can use locally available materials.
However steel+board structure like in this model house is not so desirable and feasible on large scale- not because of labor but due to materials, availability, adaptability and some construction related reasons.

concerned about the temperature controle if you could explain.
Cant't explain but may add my two cents.
Just on theoretical level, temperature//weather control is the prime function of a house..

Homes are built for 50-100 years in future. The industry has to be forward-looking in view of social and economic changes and needs.
As a post stated above that, wasteful and essentially substandard huge houses and mansions built in out posh localities cannot be a model for future and for affordable housing. We need to plan for rapid urbanization in the next 25 years. High ceiling - wooden ceiling houses of old era are also not feasible and appropriate for modern land-scarce and transport based urban environment. There is no point of thinking about old "airy" homes.
Insulation is not merely about energy saving but is related to maintenance, structural stability and affordability of a house as well. Modern wiring/piping/gas etc. utilities are also affected by insulation quality of a home.

These kinds of ? Houses better to built with under ground basement for more efficient durable/ strong and better used.
That's the basic flaw of this model which is solely because of usage of 100% steel+board prefabricated units - Basement means cement blocks and beams. For single unit housing, lack of basement means loss of expensive land (more cost/ft). besides structural stability and seepage control benefits. Government, and home owners should not encourage such homes for single units housing. Completion of construction in a week or in two month shouldn't be a factor at all.
