Below is the remark by the Original Adjudicator as to why Government of Pakistan owed Broadsheet $20million plus......... Broadsheet had shown assets worth over $100 million already by 2003 owned by Shariff Clan and recoverable at the time

Judgment 2018

It was against this finding that Pakistan and NAB went back to Court................... and lost and incurred yet more costs

How much NAB and Government of Pakistan paid very expensive English firms to LOSE is anyone's guess.

It will be in millions........................

When was last time we the Pakistani won a case using a Pakistani Lawyer especially like Ahmer Bilal Sufi kind of people? Alhamdu Lillah being the best Muslims of world we Pakistani are always ready to help poor criminals especially if criminals are helping us.
This case is the classic example how Mafias work. First Musharraf try to threaten Shareef and Zardaris and then he became partner in crime with them. Broadsheet went to court and instead of fighting case the lawyers from Pakistani side took commission to loose case as government was not interested to win it. If Nawaz was PM, The Hussain Mubarak Patel might be sitting in India instead ruining his life in Pakistan jails.

Broadsheet can recover 50% of the judgement by going after the Avenfield which is worth $1.9M...

Question is, why it is not going after those infamous apartments???

Broadsheet got a very sweet deal as identifying assets is easier, but to to repatriate them is next to impossible.

Avenfield is a case in point.

Talking about Broadsheet, not NAB...

Broadsheet went after the High Commission Assets after the judgement in it's favor, but ignored Avenfield!!!

It may be recalled that the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly yesterday took notice of the issue of payment of Rs. 450 crore to a British private firm Broadsheet and convened a meeting of the committee at Parliament House on January 18.

There are a lot of question on this company and it's founder.

This tout of Broadsheet on this forum will never answer the question of why it is not going after the Avenfield!!!

NS cronies are sitting in each and every department.
They wanted to save $1.9M of their master's apartment and paid $28M of taxpayer's money!!!

Broadsheet is still wanting $1.18M but is not going after the Avenfield!!!

Is their a quid pro quo between Broadsheet and NS???

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) counsel received a letter from Broadsheet LLC that both confirmed the receipt of $28.7 million at the law agency, but also asked for an additional $1,180,799.66.

“However, pursuant to paragraph 3 of both orders, interest continued to accrue following the issue of our client’s Third Party Debt order and an additional sum of $1,180,799.66 had accrued on your client’s judgment debts prior to receipt of the funds from United National Bank,” said the letter to the anti-graft body.

The letter further stated that Deputy Master Lay had made a costs award in the Broadsheet client’s favour in the sum of £30,000, equivalent to $40,677 and that those costs have been retained out of the funds received from United National in priority of the Judgment Debts.

The outstanding sum stood at $1,221,476.66, and there had been a further interest at $267 per day since the start of the new year.

“Our client has also incurred additional enforcement costs, independent of those summarily assessed by Deputy Master Lay. Those costs exceed US$900,000 and are wholly attributable to your client’s failure to engage with us and the Court prior to 17 December,” said the letter.

The Broadsheet has invited the NAB to “agree terms of settlement, to be enforced by way of a Tomlin Order, pursuant to which your client will pay our client all interest accrued on the Judgment Debts within 14 days”, with a deadline of 8 January 2021.

Earlier in the week, NAB had attempted to clarify that the agreement to find “foreign assets” was signed between the law firm and the government of Pakistan on the orders of the Attorney General Office and then-president General (r) Pervez Musharraf.
It had stated that the liability award passed on August 1, 2016, by Chartered Institute of Arbitrator in London Pakistan and that this was challenged before the High Court of Justice in London but no relief was given.

NAB had come under fire after its non-payment to Broadsheet LLC led a UK high court to order that an amount of Rs4.5 billion be debited to the account of the Pakistan High Commission.

United Bank Limited (UBL) had written a letter to the Pakistan High Commission, dated December 29, and had requested the provision of written debit account details for the payment of $28,706,533.35 in line with Final Third Party Order issued by the high court.
NAB officials had previously made a mistaken payment of $5 million and caused a loss of $14 million to Pakistan.

Broadsheet dropped the case against Avenfield on December 2, 2020.
Broadsheet is mysteriously paid $27.8M by NAB on December 29, 2020!!!

Anyone smells a rotten fish here???

Broadsheet laid a claim to attach the Sharifs’ Avenfield properties to its case but on December 2, 2020 a court ordered the company’s claim as discharged. On December 18, the court through a final third party debt order ordered that funds be debited from the Pakistan High Commission’s bank accounts in London as an enforcement of an earlier judgement.

United Bank Limited (UBL) had written a letter to the Pakistan High Commission, dated December 29, and had requested the provision of written debit account details for the payment of $28,706,533.35 in line with Final Third Party Order issued by the high court.

I am more inclined towards the idea that Broadsheet is not as sincere as Mr. Moussavi is claiming.
He tends to color twist and emphasize a few points which are not that significant.
E.g When he claims that Barrister Shehzad Akber asked for "Concession" as if it was a corrupt act. Actually per claims of Mr. Moussavi's desire and sincerity for Pakistani people Barrister Akber's request should be appreciated for he was requesting on behalf of the same people of Pakistan.

And No One is asking Mr. Moussavi How does he explain the acceptance of $24 million to his partner in USA?

After getting 10s of millions for very little work, he is eyeing for 100s of millions and therefore pleading for the renewal of contract!!!

Greed has no bounds...
