Wagyu is a term for cow in japanese language , and it is fed a diet which comprises of olive pulp , italian ryegrass and inawara rice straw. You can read more https://www.forbes.com/sites/christ...-is-being-sold-in-the-u-s-for-the-first-time/.

This is rarest beef in the world and extremely expensive too.Pakistan is trying to grow its olive oil industry and I think it should be possible to farm this kind of cow here in pakistan as well.

Here at Costco in USA it is close to $100 per pound. It has more fat than the meat and is cut in ultra thin slices. Usually eaten in raw form..... like sushi, it just melts into your mouth.

The top grade is 240$ per pound. One of the reviewer says that its very hard to get hands on this one and very hard to take more than a few bite because of high fat content.

Diet and environmental conditions can be replicated, big challenge is to import this particular breed

Nothing different from foie gras if the animal is force fed only one kind of food, especially one which is against their natural food type. Cruelty. If these trends catch on, there used to be a kind of lamb reared on human breast milk that tasted great apparently but those rich owners forced new mothers among slaves to feed lambs/Colts instead of their babies. Moreover, there's no way in hell those wagyu cows will be getting only olives unless the handling staff is strictly monitored coz we all know how corners are cut in these places. There were these experimental animals in a Lahore lab who were supposed to be eating healthy and one could always find apple peels in their cages, apparently evidence of a healthy diet being fed to them, but infact a sign that their apples were being consumed by other animals who could use a peeler and leave those peels in cages; their handlers. Grass fed is an ecologically and ethically better option.

there is a youtube channel called abroad in Japan. the way its done is more of a discipline than anything else. Pakistani quom is no way near as disciplined as the Japanese.
Yes , we will have a to create a disciplined environment for that. But hopefully the returns are worth it.
