I think that 2 people are shujat group, and IK is still relying on Elahi suppirt to take back Punjab.

Reason for resignation was that by elections will be announced on these seats creating election environment in whole country and put pressure on govt. By not pursuing it, Election commission is not de notifying and hence no by elections.

I think that might have be in the process of challenging in SC but technically these people didn't violate the 4 reasons lay down in constitution. That's might be the reason that PTI would have reluctant to do so.
