In Pakistan Film industry closed , Pop music closed, entertainment industry closed, dramas are poor. No training academies for singers, writers, directors, producers, It is not only governments job to improve Entrainment industry.

Every news channel in pakistan have their own talent programs every night between 7pm to 11pm.

Doing practical thing is not talent, this show need to be upgrade it is good we have such kind of show but talent mean when someone show their own skills

Because everything fun and entertaining is deemed haram by the moulvies and their katooras. You can only be a good muslim if you are angry, serious and bored 24/7/365
If tomorrow a really talented Pakistan female gymnast shows up and obviously will have to wear some kind of sportswear. 1 billion pakistanis will start criticizing her. Haw Hai dekho kitni besharm hai, this is against our culture, honor killing is required, fatwaas for wajob e qatal left and right etc etc etc

You think they give a shit or do moulvi-ing for Islam. This is their bread and butter, their business, you saw what an uproar they made when during last years lockdown govt was considering closing down mosques because ramadan is their money making season.
Why do you think every mohallah has its own sect, pir and moulana sahib . Just like Youtubers and social media influencers they need to attract and keep followers, the more followers they have the more money they make, also the reason why these moulvies are always fighting with each other.

Imran Khan plans to defeat them all by giving public Better Education and get them out of poverty and reform institutions that we weaken corrupt mafias and religious mafias
We dont give any value to performing arts, only our upper class take it seriously. If you look at shows like AGT BGT and others lot of the contestants are middle class and lower middle class people.
Secondly our media industry is pathetic. Starting from Pemra and Phupy type farigh journalists like ansar burney, to producers of tv channels, the decision makers are freaking stupid. Pemra keeps on banning stuff. And the behaviour of our producers can be encapsulated perfectly as of the fielders in Amirkhans cricket team in Lagan, (all the fielders running towards ball each time ball is hit). There is no freaking diversity, Pakistan has huge and diverse population, but all our tv programs run after single formula that succeeds, All our News shows TV news follow the same pathetic pattern, Dramas follow same trennd across all channels, Same morning shows. it might be succesfull in large segment of the country, but the other segments dont have any thing to watch. Considering the size of Pakistani population, even a targeted show to a population segment as small as 2% of the population, should generate profit.
We dont have a single show directed towards children, teens and preteens, even though they make up more than 30% of the population, We dont have a single Tv channel that shows non political news and events from Pakistan and around the world (Sama had one program but i think it stopped, "shehr shehr sama" which was later renamed to "metro something". No educational documentaries at all. Coming to news talk shows, i havent counted but there should be atleast 20 of them airing in a day. But the number of topics discussed in these shows in any given day , never increases from two, i,e. practically all of them are talking about same things each and every day.
On the contrary, go to youtube, there are number of journalists talking about different issues on their own yt channels, there are a number of YT media outlets that are making high quality short films (10 to 20 min long), and the story telling, acting, direction, dialogues are 1000 times better than the Dramas we see on Satellite channels. Just because they have creative freedom there, no stupid producer forcing their hands for imaginary TRPs, no PEMRA, no Ansar Burney filing case on every second TV show.
I mean the Junaid Akram podcasts are 100 time more interesting and informative than any of the talk shows aired. Wajahads YT talk show (Voice over Man) is hundred time more funnier than the ones aired on tv channel.

This reminds me of Orya Maqbool Jans cringy observations on TV advertisement on women cricket. Which only showed how tharki he is and how dirty his mind is. His comments on national tv where close to verbal masturbation, the only thing missing was that his hand were not down in his shalwar when commenting.
