Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office on Thursday announced a ceasefire to halt 11-days of fighting with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

A statement said his Security Cabinet unilaterally approved the Egyptian-mediated proposal.

Palestinian groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad then confirmed the ceasefire in a statement, saying it would come into force at 2:00am on Friday (23:00 GMT on Thursday).

Netanyahu’s office said the two sides were still negotiating exactly when it would take effect.

At least 232 Palestinians, including 65 children, have been killed in 11 days of Israeli bombardment.

فلسطین میں گزشتہ 11 دنوں سے جاری اسرائیلی وحشیانہ بمباری کے بعد جنگ بندی کے اعلان کے بعد خوف کے سائے میں زندگی گزارنے والے فلسطینوں کو نئی زندگی مل گئی۔



دونوں فریقین کے درمیان رات گئے جنگ بندی کے معاہدے پرعمل درآمد کے ساتھ ہی فلسطین میں شہری جشن مناتے ہوئے گھروں سے باہر نکل آئے اور گاڑیوں کے کارواں کی صورت میں شہر کے مختلف علاقوں کا دورہ کیا۔

اس موقع پر خوشیاں منانے والے شہریوں نے اپنے ہاتھوں نہ صرف فلسطینی پرچم تھام رکھے تھے بلکہ آتش بازی کابھی مظاہرہ کیا گیا۔ فلسطینی عوام خوش جذبات میں نعرے بھی لگا رہے تھے۔

امریکی صدرجوبائیڈن کا ردعمل

امریکی صدرجوبائیڈن نے اسرائیل اور حماس کے درمیان جنگ بندی کا خیرمقدم کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ انسانی ہمدردری کی بنیاد پرغزہ کو مالی
امداد فراہم کی جائے گی۔

وائٹ ہاؤس میں پریس کانفرنس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے امریکی صدرنے جنگ بندی کیلئے مصر سمیت مشرق وسطیٰ کے دیگرممالک کی کوششوں
کو سراہا، انہوں نے حملوں کے دوران بچوں کے انتقال پر ان کے اہل خانہ سے تعزیت بھی کی۔

اس موقع پر جوبائیڈن کا کہنا تھا کہ امریکہ اقوام متحدہ اور دیگر بین الااقوامی تنظیموں کے ساتھ مل کر نہ صرف غزہ کی بھرپورمدد کرے گا بلکہ تباہ شدہ عمارتوں کی تعمیر نو میں بھی حصہ لے گا۔

it is just a pause for restocking rockets. I already told 3 days ago that Israel was running out of rockets. If Israel fired 2-3k interceptors, it may have spent 100-200 million dollars on bringing down unguided missiles.

It is like shooting a bird with a mortar.

Israel basically lost. Their iron dome rockets finished and couldn't finish the rockets from being fired. Israel didn't have the courage to go into Gaza. Another failure. After that, Biden basically spooked them by saying that the US will replenish their iron dome missiles.

Now he has reinstated his posture of the "Savior" of Israel.

No one would have known about sheikh jarra if hammas wouldn't have retaliated. How much world knows about the illegal land occupation of housing societies in Pakistan?
At max, it would have generated subtle headlines of protests and firing of tear gas which is a daily routine around the world. Now the world knows the reason behind conflict was sheikh jarra and Israel is an aggressor.

Hamas response was immaculate. Firing 4000 rockets and 200 rockets daily was a great feat. Israel was forced to kneel down after their iron dome system ran out of rockets. Believe me, if it was Pakistan, we would have lost below 100 rockets.
