Well, there is some rhetoric in your comments about them. If they do not recognize our constitution and our institutions,then who are they going to sit with and talk ? If they agree to talk to the state of Pakistan, then it means that they have to recognize the power reside with that state. I personally think that the Pakistani nation is a confused nation and this confusion comes from the fact that after almost 65 years of our independent, we still can't figure out the reason for our existance. Not that those who struggled didn't know, but there are groups who used their influence to create enough of the divide of the purpose that we got completely lost.
From the sidelines, this is how I see the whole scenario.
We have constitution which makes it mandatory that all our laws and regulation should be driven from the Quran and Hadith.
None of the laws of the land are based on Quran. Most of them are still on old book of Birtish laws and regulation and applied as civic laws.
Those who demand sharia laws get banned. We as a nation yet to define sharia because there is no mechanism in which we decide ourselves what the sharia laws are and that defination could also satisfy many group within nation.
so, these group reaise weapons and start to fight to make us all Muslim ( as per their interpretaion) and we get upset.
We don't like and accept their interpretaion of Islam and its imposition of us, however, we ourselves can't come up with a unified solution to change our laws to islamic laws on which we all can be agreed.
So, we call ourselves Muslims, but we can't agree what is the defination of a Muslim.we have many definations and arbitrary arguments to ensure we are muslims but we can't impose the Islamic laws on which we all agree.
We all like democracy and corruption, yet we hate those who point out the systematic failure of our choice of a system to elect our representatives. We have more than 35000000 fradulent votes in our electoral system , yet we are unwilling to clean it up and make it transparent,however, we can't allow anyone to criticise our democratic system.
We hate America,yet, we always wind up getting its dollars and arms for our forces, we hate being called their stooges, however, we all work for them .
This is a nation of hypocrates right to the core meaning of the word. No one is exempted. we are not willing to change ourselves.
