Health Benefits Of Physical Activity

The benefits of exercise extend far beyond weight management. Research shows that regular physical activity can help reduce your risk for several diseases and health conditions and improve your overall quality of life. Regular physical activity can help protect you from the following health problems.

  • Heart Disease and Stroke. Daily physical activity can help prevent heart disease and stroke by strengthening your heart muscle, lowering your blood pressure, raising your high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels (good cholesterol) and lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels (bad cholesterol), improving blood flow, and increasing your heart's working capacity.   • Disability. Running and aerobic exercise have been shown to postpone the development of disability in older adults and maintains the quality of life longer for seniors.

We should Sacrifice those hours or minutes to help ourselves. I am pretty sure we can spare that time.

who walks for two hours everyday? lol
Some of us do. If you work in a healthcare facility that is sprawled in a large area and you have to make rounds in various departments of that facility you can do it. My daily goal is to walk 10000 to 15000 steps a day. There should not be any excuse for the benefit of one's health.

you wont go out for a walk specifically for two hours
I do Sir. For my health, I am doing it. If the weather is better I walk after Fajar and then I walk in the Evening. If the weather is rainy or snowy then I walk on the treadmill. You divide your walking time in two segments and complete your ten thousand steps.
