It's good that he apologized but it also revealed his character in the process. He claims to be a leader of educated mandate and liberal party. His demeaning and sexist remarks toward women are similar to those made by Mullah Fazl Rahman. And was it the "educated mandate" in the crowd cheering and clapping over his degrading and hate remarks? If it wasn't them, the educated were surely quiet on social media. MQM reps on twitter never once apologized for his bigotry, they are like parrots with no thoughts of their own. Now they might since the "right man" has.

But behind the facade is the friday visit by Shareef and Army Chief in Karachi to analyze the operation and decide on future planning. Altaf needs to correct his behavior before further plans are made. The orders could've come down from UK or other authorities for him to back-off if he expects authorities to be soft on him (muk muka on friday? or go ahead with operation, no good vs. bad militant).

yes it was a good decision. mqm's entire politics is based on mazlumiat or victim card. you need to understand this to tackle this menace. pti must not at any stage make mqm mazlum. as soon as mqm becomes mazlum then mohajir community will go back to mqm. this is hard to explain but mahajirs are quite sentimental about their roots and when they look back they have had to fce a lot of hardships at the hand of sindhis and punjabis. therefore, to isolate mqm, pti must expose them but dont push them too hard otherwise they will go back to mohajir public and start narrating sorry tales of fatimja jinnah and blah blah to get votes.
