First of all you cannot occupy a "people/race/cast" go brush up on your vocabulary. And not many are falling for this imaginary occupation.

Let me help you out, the word you are looking for is persecution, the persecution of Uyghurs not occupation. A lot of them are separatists and terrorists ( look up terrorist attacks on Chinese civilians by them ) and being dealt with accordingly
