Awesome level of troll reporting... says that LRH BoG have only one person in who belong to health department.. yet there are two more doctors in the BoG.. so what are they clowns? You have 3 ppl from Health department and two administration dept.. aim is to make a model hospital, s of course model would be outsourced, hence ppl from other countries.. baat ka zabardast batangarr banay hai iss reporter ne!!

If the person in news is Dr. Nausherwan Burki than it's a good move, indeed very good move.. We need our best brains to be working for Pakistan (in Pakistan)...

If he is being paid extra ordinary huge amount as a board of director member, than it's a wrong thing and nepotism indeed ... But if Imran Khan / Nawaz Sharif etc. and others are using their influence to bring well qualified people back to country (whether Punjab / KpK or elsewhere) than it's a move to be appreciated..

If Dr Barki our pride in US has accepted this position then its a real service that he will b doing to this country as he can make LRH an institution that nobody from PTI can...BOG members are not paid anything and no politics on this should b done as he is one of the best brains of pak

Just because he is relative of IK he can't be barred from holding such position. If he is able and has got the post without any interference by IK its fine . If u have any proofs of IMRAN interference than show it to us plz. but he is not SHOWBAZ Or NAWAZ who will ring JUSTICE QAYUUM and ask for favours

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Medical Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday challenged the appointment of Dr. Nowsherwan Barki as Chairman Board of Governors Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar in Peshawar High Court. The PMA KP also appealed to court to declare his appointment as null and illegal as the incumbent chairman is citizen of United States of America and his appointment was made with violation of rules.
Being representative of doctors� community President PMA KP Dr. Hussain Ahmad Haroon filed the writ petition through his counsel Advocate Mian Muhibullah Kakakhel stating that the chairman was the cousin of Imran Khan, the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf thus he had been appointed on political considerations with ulterior motives.
The writ petition stated that the chairman BoG LRH was a citizen of USA and after spending his 54 years in practicing as a doctor he was unable to practice under USA Law as he had reached at the age of 78 years.
�LRH is a government owned and run teaching hospital and nobody can be appointed in a Government Hospital in violation of Civil Servants Act and Rules of PMDC also prohibit appointment of a person of above 70 years in Medical Institution,� stated the writ petition adding that Barqi, the chairman, was running hospital affairs through emails and Skype conferencing from USA where he resides.
The petition further stated that the chairman BoG LRH rarely visited Pakistan where he enjoyed the protocol of Health Minister as he was the cousin of a person whose party was ruling in the province.
The petitioner Dr. Hussain ahmad Haroon, president PMA KP, in his petition appealed the court that appointment of chairman BoG might be declared illegal and restrained him from acting as chairman and head of any other Medical Institution.
The petitioner also prayed for interim relief requesting that till the disposal of petition the respondent might be restrained from acting as Chairman BoG LRH and PGMI and to restrain him from issuing any order in regard of any Professor Doctor or hospital affairs.
Other respondents in the writ petition are Provincial Government through its chief secretary, health secretary and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
