as for myself I think it will be counter productive. while i believe all the cases of Zardari and PPP leadership should go for speedy trials and they should be convicted and sent to jail. but PTI and its sindh branch and allies are not ready and do not have the capacity at the moment to handle the pressure of a Gov Rule so it will be counter productive.

IK has his plate full with centre, kp, punjab and balochistan and there are already capacity issues so in my view they should hold horses for now. maybe after 2/3 years when economy is relatively stable and chors are in jail, then go for the kill. in the mean while, build your team for Sindh

Improving Economic condition must be our first priority. Imposing governor rule in Sindh and going after the corrupts blindly will create economic and political instabilities which will further worsen the economic condition. So for me, there is no need to impose governor rule in Sindh. If PTI government fails to improve the economic condition of Pakistan and set forth a clear five year agenda and policy in health, education, industry, and agriculture they will be kicked in the ass after six months to one year

In KP , pti had majority and were public representatives and as a party they had strong presence on ground. That is necessary to bring change. This is what pti lacks in Sindh and Karachi at the moment. Without that it will be a major risk

Well technically Governor rule MUST be implemented

Under Article 234 of the Constitution, the president of Pakistan may impose governor’s rule in a province if he is satisfied with his analysis that the provincial government had failed to function smoothly.

And we all know the provincial government is corrupt to the core and not only failed but failed miserably.

But for the sake of keeping the mouth of the detractors shut, it should be be avoided for now.

Agree. But how do you see it improving the economy when 70% of the economy is generated in Sindh that it has no control over and can't do much to reform tax collection and ease of business there.

After 18th amendment, health & education is under Provincial government. How can PTI improve it in Sindh. :rolleyes::rolleyes:

No. At least not until zardari family and 7-8 members. whose names are in JIT. are disqualified by court.
Afterwards, PTI can try to bring in-house change. That is the safest route - if not the only viable option.

Talk of Governor's Rule is pre-mature until PTI has majority in Senate : that would be later in 2019.

In the meanwhile,
a) IK may go inside Sindh and directly address the people and groups, highlighting the corruption of Zardaris in district/divisional centers and build a case on the ground.
b) Start a public campaign in Interior Sindh to build up a future coalition with local groups, setup party organization and pressurize PPP in its territory. No more coalition with GDA - rather invite people to join PTI - Ayaz Palejo type leaders who have some presence on in the whole province are good for the party expansion.
c) Fed may announce a financial package targeting Sindhi poor - a program which has access to the rural area.
d) Immediately change the name of BISP and begin investigation in this program
e) For karachi local administration, PTI may take an aggressive stand by Governor's ordinance - to reform police structure and for financial matters.
f) PTI needs some presence in local bodies election in next year. That's the forum where PPP has to be challenged. PPP will resist reforming LB but bring in courts to assure minimal reforms.

Governor's rule without support of local groups is risky. There is no shortcut to the situation inside Interior Sindh - a minimal party structure is must.
However this is the last government of PPP in sindh - that's the writing is on the wall. Party is over.

Thats why the thread starter asking if governor rule will be better, sindh assembly will be dissolved then all funds allotment new laws etc will be directed from center via governor. That will impact to create a new sindh and liberate poor sindhis from slavery and better facilities provided by the governor rule.

I agree with you, Also the better option would be to invest in bringing some PPP members on to ourside and go for inhouse change as happent in baluchistan last year.
