Here Rohit Upadhyay, who is a young and renowned journalist from India, clarifies/rebuts certain myths that Sanghis and their IT cell propagate against Muslims. Here he is talking based on proper research, plus facts and figures.

The question of forced conversions to Islam in history is a cornerstone of the centuries-old “spread-by-the-sword” narrative that has been (and continues to be) used to demonize Islam and Muslims. However, many leading present-day historians have challenged this narrative. They recognize that there have been cases of forced conversion, but also that these were rare, exceptional, occurred in particular contexts. What is the reality of #Islamic #conversion in India. #GharWapasi
NOTE: There's a slight difference here with what we are usually taught in our textbooks....Islam had already arrived in Indo-Pak Subcontinent and the very first Masjid in the region was not constructed in Sindh but present day Kerala. Infact one of the Sahabas was from Kerala as well.

Demonising the Muslim rulers of old India has been the driving force of the country’s rightwing Hindu nationalist ideology, but history is witness to the immense contributions Muslims have made to protect and encourage Hinduism in the sub continent. #Somnath #Aurangzeb #Akbar

BJP repeatedly claimed that population of religious minorities in #Pakistan has declined from 23% in 1947 to 3.7% in 2011. Analysis of official data however shows this argument is faulty. Please watch the full video. #Hindu #Minority

It is a fact that thousands of non-Muslims were persecuted in #Bangladesh and #Pakistan. the BJP is correct in saying that the percentage share of non-Muslims has decreased significantly in Bangladesh. But it is wrong in saying that the decline was from 22 per cent to 7.8 per cent. As per official census data, the decline was from 23.20 per cent in 1951 to 9.60 per cent in 2011. You may or may not disagree with few points. But overall Rohit has done a remarkable job in responding to RSS propagandists
