First lesson taught to us by this great leader is not to give up. I second every word you said but if our leader is not giving up why should we? IK’s biggest failure is his very poor team selection. Look at the choice of his two CMs. Opposition or establishment didn’t force him to appoint these people. He did it by himself, one at the recommendation of his wife and other at the recommendation ( rather blackmailing) of Pervez Khattak. After 18th amendment, provinces are very powerful. If CMs are dumb, provinces can’t give give good results and bureaucracy can’t be restrained no matter how much good cabinet you provide them to the CMs. If provinces don’t give good results, federal govt too can’t impress common man because, after 18th amendment, most of the things that affect masses are in control of CMs. Prime minister can’t dictate CMs on daily basis because his own job is full time.

Paper per manshoor ya vision likh kar kisi ko thama denay say tabdeeli nahin aa jaati. Uss ko execute karnay kay liay apna brain istemaal karna parta hai. Bureaucracy ko control karnay kay liay brain istemal karna parta hai. Opposition ki chaalon ya distraction ka muqabla bhi karna hota hai. Finally, awaam say continuous raabta rakhna hota hai ( press briefings aur solo interviews ki soorat mein). All these things are beyond the capabilities of Buzdar and Mehmood Khan. These things can’t be done by provincial ministers on behalf of their CMs.

This is not just one senate seat , this is failure of system and society as a whole. Supreme court was reluctant , EC was downright in the bed with corrupt opposition and media was sold out.
