This should a big concern for the government.

Any of you have any suggestions to fix this situation?

Questions I've in mind is:

1. Largest import bill is from energy import. How do we control that? May have a rule where odd numbered vehicles can be on roads on one day and even number on another day? (Not applicable for vehicles that are vital for the economy and emergency services. )

2. May be we can ban personal vehicles from the road for 2 days a week? Just like we ban red meat production for two days a week? (People can use cycles on the ban days. )

3. How do we control industry input import bill? Any ideas? If we reduce industry input import we will have decreased economic activity.


Curious to know the solution to this import problem, as exports cannot grow fast enough to catch up with imports for few years.

Slow down the consumption. This is all due that budget give subsidy to importers because Imran Khan wanted early election on 2022 by showing cars sales growth figures, which not only backfired but put buried PTI chances to win any election in the future. NA 133 was trailer by PTI that they will skip more elections in coming days.

Thanks for the reply.

But slowing down consumption slows down the economic activity. So, fewer jobs, less business, harder to collect taxes when less economic activity. Less gov income means more fiscal deficit and harder to pay loans and interest. Right?

I am interested to know how can we restrict energy import bill? Because that one is hitting CAD the hardest.

But do you honestly think other leaders can take us out of this crisis? I am interested to know your opinion about THE leader Pakistan needs in this crisis.

Can you please write about how will PML N or any other party that you think will take us out of this recurring CAD problem in three years and how will they reduce:

1. Energy import.
2. Machinery import used by the industry.
3. Edible Oil Import
4. Other Food Import.
5. Industry Input import
6. Medical Imports

(Above are the major imports that make up the lion's share of total import bill. )

Imran Khan break world record that first time ever in history that devaluation increase import and decreased the ratio of export. In other world, it is opposite. Something seriously bad happened with Planning.
