شیخوپورہ میں بہو پر تشدد کرنے والے ملزم کو پولیس تاحال گرفتار نہ کر سکی۔

اس حوالے سے پولیس کا کہنا ہے کہ ملزم کی گرفتاری کے لیے منڈی جھبراں میں بھی چھاپہ مارا گیا، ملزم منڈی جھبراں میں اجناس کی خرید و فروخت کا کام کرتا ہے۔

پولیس نے بتایا کہ تشدد کی شکار خاتون کا شوہر روزگار کے لیے جنوبی افریقا میں ہے، ملزم کے دوسرے بیٹے نے تشدد کی ویڈیو بنا کر اپنے رشتے داروں کو بھیجی، ملزم کا دوسرا بیٹا زیرِ حراست ہے۔

دوسری جانب ایک بیان میں متاثرہ خاتون نے کہا ہے کہ میں نے سسر سے بدتمیزی کی تھی جس پر انہوں نے مجھے مارا، ہمارا گھریلو مسئلہ تھا اب وہ حل ہو گیا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ ہماری صلح ہو گئی ہے میں نے کوئی قانونی کارروائی نہیں کرنی۔

You can't blame the victim here, innocent people even confess to murder under duress and torture. Me and you have no idea what she is going through and I am assume as is the case most of the time her children are being used to blackmail her into making all sorts of nonsense statements

I am aware of the situation in Pakistan, but how long will it last? If they do not fight for their rights, the torture and killings will continue.
Unfortunately, our courts are also corrupt and compromised, so we cannot anticipate justice in the foreseeable future.

Exactly, when a person has no avenue for justice or hope that what are his/her options other than just to survive by any means possible. Specially women in our society.
