It is not that crazy worldwide. I live in Canada and inflation increased from 3% to 4.7% and food items inflation is not that high too. In Pakistan overall inflation is 12.3% and in food items it is over 20%. This is temporary thing and soon things will get better worldwide; government should temporarily give subsidy to bring back inflation in food items to bring it to below 15%. Government in every country takes steps when public is in pain. Pakistan is the third most high inflation country; it require serious attention to bring it to a level where majority of countries have inflation.
Cases on Nawaz are political. Gillani was disqualified for five years for hiding Zradari corruption. Nawaz aqama crime is not bigger than that and if it is reduced to 5 years for Nawaz, disqualification will end July 2022. Other case by NAB are weak too and will finish in higher court appeals. This is a likely cases if establishment become neutral and current government stop pressing NAB. I think Nawaz will not come until this government is in power and all previous cases will reach to a undo level.
You can't compare Canada to Pakistan. Just one example is that palm oil used to be at $550/MT and, now it is at $1200/MT.
Also, the international price of Brent oil is at $90.00/Barrel, Pakistan being a not-so-rich country, it does add ups to inflation. Pakistan is helping poor of the poor through the AHSAS program and also the government has announced 150 billion rupees to subsidize cooking oil, flour, lentils, and rice.
Nawaz's case is bigger than Gilani's case as he lied to the parliament and the courts by issuing a fake Qatari letter and to date, he has not provided a single document to prove his innocence. All pmln/sharifs did was try to malign the courts through fake videos and audios and, recently with another fake testimony through ex pmln judge Rana Shamim.
No wonder why books and articles were written in the newspapers about their corruption.
