I've always thought the world has become so dependent on GPS and yet only one country controls the entire system, the world can't be at the whim of just one country.

So definitely a good addition.

Did the U.S. threaten to shoot down Chinese BeiDou satellites?
From what I read elsewhere, they did, but China responded by showing in a practical demonstration that it had the technology to destroy the USA’s GPS satellites, so the problem went away.
