And this is why women's rights need to be highlighted and mindsets need to be changed, anywhere else she would have easily divorced him and found another husband or lived on her own before she ended up being a mother of 5 children but due to our patriarchal and conservative society a divorced woman is looked down upon specially one with children so such poor women are forced to spend their lives in such terrible conditions.

She didn't mention once she wanted a divorce. You are projected your westernised and liberal views onto this woman's situation.

It strikes me how such videos actually show these people to be STRONG, to be RESILIENT, to have IMAAN despite their tough, tough, tough lives. Ask her if she wants a divorce then spout out about it on here instead attributing your view onto her.

Maybe she harbours a hope that her husband will change. Why not blame her situation on her husbands addiction, or for the billions that rich liberal westernised people steal from the poor in Pakistan?

In case you haven't noticed, poverty affects men in Pakistan as well. For some reason feminists think it affects only women.

It has nothing to do with liberalism or feminism. Such a person should not be allowed near your kids at all. We wouldnt let our kids befriend a drug addict because they are bad influence and may harm our kids so why should we let a drug addict live under the same roof as their kids. That is a valid point to consider and has nothing to do with westernism.

Of course the lady can do what she want but letting a potential dangerous druggie having access to your kids is nothing to romanticize about in terms of your imaan or patience. You have equal responsibility to keep your kids safe and husband is never ever a priority our your kids.

With respect, your first response was feminist rant, and now you are all about the kids.

What this family needs is someone to help the drug addict husband father to see if Islah/reform is possible. Ameen.
