You are mixing up two entirely different things to save your ‘babas’. Getting or asking help from some living person or group of people through zaahiri asbaab is not Shirk at all. Rather, it is commandment of Allah. See Surah Araaf for proof.

However, if you ask for help from a living person without zaahiri asbaab ( maafooqul asbaab), it too is Shirk. For example, if you ask help from someone who is a living person but is not physically present in front of you, he wouldn’t be able to help you and you will be committing Shirk. Don’t use any physical means ( e.g. telephone) to prove your point. Telephone, radio, TV etc. all work on Physical laws of nature same as Sun, Moon etc. Just do one experiment. Ask for help from someone without using any physical mean ( telephone, letter etc.). Call for someone for help in your town or Mohalla and see what happens. If a living person can’t listen and respond to you when he is not in front of you, how come a dead person who is hundreds or thousands of Kilometres away will help you.

As far as asking help from people who left this world (died through any means including Shuhadaa), it is 100% shirk because they can’t listen you, and they can’t respond you. Try making a telephone call to a dead person or asking a glass of water from a dead person and see what happens. This same person, when he was alive, could have talked to you on phone and could have given you a glass of water.

Finally, what do you people get by protecting these baabas ( wali, ghous, qutab, abdaal, peer)? Why don’t you leave all babaas and other dead people at their own? Their own matter is with their Allah. Instead of asking help from them, you should help them by praying for them from Allah which might benefit them in grave. This is proven from Quraan Hadiths.

Put all your efforts to please Allah by praising Him through various means (acting upon five basic pillars of Islam, Zikr, duaa, helping others etc), acting upon the sayings of Holy Prophet Muhammad ( PBUH) and offering Durood upon him. In this way, you will be able to please Allah and get Shifaat of Prophet ( PBUH). This is the only shifaat ( sifaarish) which is proven from Quran and Hadith with authenticity

Generational brainwashing, blindly following fraud mullahs and moulvis, lack of critical thinking and God given common sense and most of all, actually reading and understanding the Quran.
