This is true for any justice system.
The difference is in processing time. Some countries do it much faster than us and do it with better integrity at each stage than us.
The “Due Process” is built by a nation and if it is based on wisdom or lack of wisdom from old ages then it will be like this.
There are some movies about people who are wrongly declared dead in some government papers because of mistake or by ill actions of people. That person has to go through very long process to prove it to the government that he/she is alive.
That is why people do not want to be a witness to a crime. They know the justice system will make their lives bad or, in some cases, in danger, if they agree to be a witness for a crime that happened in front of them.
Allah save people from such cruel Justice system.

What a shame for our decision makers. We have money to buy expensive armored luxury cars, we have money to build unnecessarily luxurious junctions (chowks) on roads, we have money to build huge mansions and office for few people but we do not have the resources and will to fix the justice system.

وہاں تو کوئی دولت کام نہیں آئے گئ کوئی جرنیل نہیں بھگا سکے گا۔ بلکہ یہ مجرموں کے سہولت کار بھی وہاں ساتھ ہی سزا پائیں گے فور سٹا ر اور تھری سٹار اور چیف جسٹسی وہاں پیچھے گھس جائے گی اور آگ بھی ہی ہوگی کوئی وردی کو چیف جسٹسی کوئی حرامی وکیل نہیں ہوگا جو کروڑوں روپے میں جج خرید کر اپنے موکل کے حق فیصلہ لے لے
