Why Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy Resigned from Forman Christian College?

Criticism is an important part of growth of a society. Especially if it pertains to the institutions that are in one way or another connected to power. Because ultimately the role of the institutions (Church, Clergy, King, Parliament) is to serve the people and not the other way round.

If the institutions cannot take criticism or build a perception that it is wrong to criticize them then it means they are hiding something or being deceitful.

This is what im trying to say, these awards are meaningless when he criticizing institutions, Islam and barking over Pak-Army.

Is Pakistan known by the name of hoodbhoy..someone who has achieved for the country would b Abdus Salam..that is what is meant by achievement for the country
He might have done some good work in his fields but nothing groundbreaking..if it was something of excellence u wouldnt had to refer me to his achievements

Even as an educator he has nothing to write home about..having served in QAU did his students produced any extraordinary stuff..

His other achievement ? could be his activism but offence is all he do when he is talking which is counter productive..instead of whining and complaining about others harshly..he should have stick to his field and he might have actually achieved something good

Even if you write one scientific research paper, that ads credit to your country. Not every scientist in the world has to be an Isaac Newton. There are many unnammed scientists that have contributed their part which collectively played an important role to bring society to where it is.

You cannot say the contribution of one person or another does not matter. The fact is they contributed and it accumulates and helps with further research which could lead to a break through, if not in his life time then maybe after his life time. Einsteins works which did not yield any result during his lifetime are helping scientists with breakthroughs in their research today.
