after the recent Sialkot incident, most of people are targeting Brelvis and TLP for religious extremism in Pakistan. Actually the whole country is responsible for it. Although brelvis and TLP has misused the blasphemy law several times, but other groups are equally if not more responsible than TLP in the past. If we simply count the list of banned terrorist organizations in the country, we can hardly find more than few brelvi or shia organization yet brelvis are in the highest number in the total population. Most of banned outfit are unfortunately either related to deobandis or ahl e hadis. (TTP, Sipah e sahaba, Lashker Jangvi, ASWJ, al ahrar group, ISIS, Jamat Dawa, Lashkar taiba, Jaish-e-Muhammad, AI Qaeda ,Jamiat-ul-Ansar , Hizbut Tehrir , Ansar-ul-Islam, Jaish-e- Islam , and the list goes on). unbiased analysis shows deobandis and ahl hadis are more responsible for religious extremism and terrorism than brelvis or shias.
Do not blame only Brelvis or TLP for religious extremism in the country.

Wahabis (ahli hadiths) groups have done no terrorism inside Pakistan. Deobandis have some specific groups like Sipah Sahaba etc involved in domestic terrorism but the prominent deobandi scholars have never approved killings by groups like TTP , LeJ etc. Shias too have not been involved in much domestic terrorism.
The problem with Barelvis is that they hve recently generalized domestic terrorism by enabling the common barelvi to massacre people in the name of Islam. Most of such acts are approved by prominent barelvi scholars like Khadim Hussain , Mufti Munib etc. Barelvism is the new cancer for Pakistan.

Na Pak Foj is behind all these series of incidents. This is systematically orchestrated plan to unite Brelvi vote bank on one platform. Due to access to technology with every passing day it is getting harder and harder to engineer elections so Na Pak Foj came up with this idea to manipulate upcoming elections.

Wahabis are less in number and are not much involved inside Pakistan I agree. But Deobandis had done the most killings (sectarian and against govt institutions). 99% of bomb blasts and terrorism post Zia age till now is directly funded and supervised by Deobandi mullahs. Approval from the top mufti e azam is not necessary. Who chants brevli mushrik, shia kafir, and they must be killed wherever found in open rallies and jalsas. Ramzan mehegal, oragzeb forooqi, moulana ludhyanvi, malik ishaq, azam tariq etc. when you allow some violent mullahs to chant kafir and mushrik in streets then how can you expect their followers to be peaceful. Deobandi alim like Moulana sami ul haq marhoom used to operate a madrasa e haqania in khora khatak which is responsible for many terrorists like molvi fazullah of TTP. So, the root causes and institutions of terrorism matters, approval doesn’t matter.
....The groups u hv mentioned apart from ttp n isis. rest of them fought n send mujahideen in Kashmir n Afghanistan. Thy r not famous for doing fasad in the country...do not try n make ur beloved groups the pious ones.. they are the scambags...

Jamat Dawa and Lashkar taiba k elawa all the listed terrorists are responsible for killing more than 70 thousand innocent Pakistanis. just google azam tariq, malik ishaq, ramzan mehengl, moulana ahmed ludhyanvi, aurangzeb faroqi and do some research apko pata chalay ga kon kitna dehshatgard hy. just listen to their speeches and you will know. they have never been to kashmir. they have always killed bralvis, shias and other pakistanis. TLP is just 1 % of those so called jahil mullahs related to above listed takfeeri outfits. these outfits are factories of issuing fatwas of kafir and mushrik against other muslims. if you compare the two you will find brelvis innocents. they never killed 70 thousand pakistanis and yet being propogated as worst than others. just do some research about the bomb blasts and killings of brelvis and shias and attacks on govt institutions, airports, ISI headquarters, politicians, and you will know the whole picture. 90% terrorists factories and training camps are managed by the above listed outfits. be neutral, not a deobandi or brelvi or shia

My family are from a Brelvi background and since I have grown up the biggest fights were over rice running out of Yaarmi and the quality of the halwa. I always found the peer mureedi over the top and generally silly, but what has happened to this group.

Our history is full of incidents like these.In fact our beloved faith was imposed upon people by brute force and not by roshee of our ikhlaq. We are deluded about our past and the indoctrinated are replicas of RSS and Muslim version of Hindutva. Although I am not a brelvi but I agree with you. Brelvis has been always peaceful and never engaged in any weapon based movement unlike other sects, but brelvis also have sometime misused this blasphemy law and did some wrong doings. and after this TLP came into being several years ago they found a platform and has been creating some problems although still they doesn't have any organized and weaponized brigade and can still be controlled before becoming like TTP ISIS or Sipah e sahaba type organizations.
I think there are 4 different problems and combination of them is toxic.
1 — Extremist mindset of some Religious parties
2 — Mob justice (this happens in other countries too)
3 — Wrong interpretation of religion and no mullah or scholar wants to correct it either
4 — Lack of tolerance amongst people (happens in other counties too)
