They were already overpriced, so this was going to happen at some point. Last four years the US economy shrinked and the Biden administration never officially declared recession. The liberal media will blame everything on this but reality is US economy has been in recession for last two years.

Look at where auto industry is, no one is buying cars or cant buy cars. No one can buy new houses.

Unfortunately, there is no world economy. Its all tied to US economy. Even China, it earns most from trade with US.

With tariffs every country knows that the investment will go out, so they are reacting by selling the stocks and they will reinvest the money after dust settle.

A fool will do what a fool can do. Placing tariffs on imported items is a tax on those items as simple as this. Brining companies to start opening up businesses in USA is lot complicated than what you guys think. Applying tariffs by the US is a gung-ho move. Less practicality, more chest thumping. Applying counter tariffs by China or other countries is counter-intuitive and needless.

Application of US tariffs alone will hurt US more in the long run than any other country. American business are not ready to shift over to made in USA products immediately. The price differential is just way to high. Even with high tariffs, it will be economical for them to buy imported products....but will hurt US core economic indicators, with a lesser effect on China or others.

Actually there is a major policy shift, Trump don't want to spend money on several countaries to control them. He don't want enemies in the world, he want to fix his relationship with Russia, North Korea and Iran. What will eventually happen that USA within the countary will prosper but US influence all over the world will slowly decrease and US will not able to control countaries like Pakistan. It is not just Pakistan there are dozons of countaries where US spend heavy to control them. US establishment does not like that that is why they tried their best to stop Trump but you cannot do in USA what you can do in Pakistan or other similar countaries.
