Pindi’s “9 May” Narrative Was One Giant ‘Forwarded As Received’

Army's Top Brass quotes the Quran (Surah Al-Hujurat 49:6) about verifying news from unreliable sources and warns against blindly forwarding misinformation. Respectfully... is he serious?

Because let’s talk about 9 May 2023 — the very day the army wants etched into national shame like it’s 1971. What did they do?

They ran the biggest “Forwarded as Received” campaign in the country’s history.

📉 The Playbook:

  • CCTV footage? Never presented in court.
  • PTI? Collectively branded as terrorists within hours.
  • Arrests? Thousands jailed, many without charges or due process.
  • Media? Blackouts. Names/Photos Banned. Narratives copy-pasted across channels.
  • Journalists? Silenced, abducted, Killed or self-censoring.
  • Courts? Bullied or bypassed. (courtesy : 26th Constitutional Amendment Bill)
  • Social media? Bot armies flooding timelines with the “official version”.

All of this happened without a single independent inquiry, no judicial commission, no cross-examination, no voice from the other side.

📵 Let’s not forget: They shut down the internet

When the 9 May narrative was falling apart and people started sharing videos from the ground contradicting state media, what did the state do?
  • Blocked Twitter/X, YouTube, and Facebook
  • Shut down mobile service across the country
  • Deployed PTA and Eye-S-Eye to throttle VPNs
  • Disabled live-streaming, geolocation, and secure chat tools
That’s not the behavior of a confident state.
That’s the reflex of a regime that fears what the people might see.
If your story is solid, you don’t need to turn off the internet to tell it.

🤖 What did the Army want?

They wanted you to “Forward as Received” their version of 9 May —
No questions. No evidence. No context. No defense.
Just repost, obey, believe.

⚠️ What they actually wanted:

- The entire country to act as amplifiers, not analysts.
- Emotion over evidence.
- Fear over facts.
- Blind loyalty over democratic questioning.

🔁 And now they quote the Quran:

"If a fāsiq (liar) brings you news, verify it… lest you harm people out of ignorance."
[Surah Al-Hujurat, 49:6]

Well, guess what? The entire narrative around 9 May violated that command.
And the damage has already been done:
  • Innocents labeled as traitors
  • Women tortured
  • Families destroyed
  • Democracy gutted
All because the real fāsiq wasn’t a rogue WhatsApp uncle…
…it was the state itself.

🧠 Final Thought:

When the military-industrial complex in Pakistan demands belief without evidence,
and punishes those who ask questions,
it becomes the very source of fāsad (corruption) the Quran warns us about.

Pakistan deserves truth. Not “forwarded as received.”

🚩 Red Flags Suggesting 9 May Was a False-Flag Operation

1. Pre-emptive Internet & Mobile Service Shutdown

  • Within hours of Imran Khan’s arrest, mobile networks and internet were cut nationwide.
  • This prevented:
    • Live documentation of real-time events.
    • Organization of protests.
    • Immediate fact-checking of Army's version.
🔍 Classic first move in authoritarian playbook: control the narrative by silencing the medium.

2. CCTV Footage Release — But Only From Army-Selected Sources

  • Only highly-edited, short clips were released to media — all by ISPR or pro-military outlets.
  • No independent or full-length surveillance footage was shared.
  • Footage often had no time stamps, no full context, and edited sound.
  • Detailed footages of terr0r-ists in remote areas are published with chest-thumps, but no CCTV footage is ever produced for "Jinnah" house (occupied by Army) located in the middle of 2nd most populous city of Pakistan.
🔍 When the “truth” is selectively filtered, it’s not truth — it’s propaganda.

3. Zero Independent Investigation

  • No judicial commission formed.
  • No public hearings. No cross-examinations.
  • Civil society calls for inquiry were mocked or ignored.
🔍 You don’t fear investigation unless you fear what it will uncover.

4. Military Installations Left Deliberately Unsecured

  • Corps Commander House in Lahore (Jinnah House) — no Rangers or military resistance for hours.
  • In some cases, protestors entered, filmed, and exited peacefully.
  • Eyewitnesses reported provocateurs inside encouraging destruction.

🔍 Ask yourself: how does a supposed “mob” breach a top military residence with no resistance — in a nuclear-armed country?

5. PTI Workers Were Allowed In, Then Arrested Later

  • Many participants said police allowed them through barricades, only to later accuse them of “terro0rism.”
  • No police resistance in major incidents, but post-facto revenge crackdown followed.
🔍 That’s not law enforcement. That’s entrapment.

6. Mass Arrests Without Evidence

  • Over 10,000 arrests within 72 hours.
  • Many charged without FIRs, due process, or evidence.
  • Women, minors, and elderly detained indiscriminately.
🔍 Mass criminalization = attempt to kill a political movement, not pursue justice.

7. Media Blackout & Censorship

  • No PTI representative allowed on air.
  • Mainstream channels ran synchronized anti-PTI coverage.
  • Anchors who questioned the narrative were suspended, abducted, or fled abroad.
🔍 When all media says the same thing, it’s not journalism — it’s state script reading.

8. Speed of Political Consensus by the PDM Alliance

  • PML-N, PPP, JUI-F — all instantly echoed the Army’s narrative.
  • No questions, no legal nuance, just blind condemnation of PTI.
  • Civilian politicians acted more like spokespersons for ISPR.
🔍 When "opposition" parties act in perfect sync with the military, you're not in a democracy — you're in a choreographed coup.

9. Calls for Military Trials of Civilians

  • Despite constitutional protections, the state declared that civilians would be tried under Army Act.
  • Even SCBA and Bar Councils were bullied into silence.
🔍 Militarizing justice is the final form of political revenge.

10. All of This Benefited Only One Side: The Army

  • 9 May was used to:
    • Dismantle PTI
    • Justify a complete political engineering reset
    • Install military-friendly puppets in every province
    • Reassert military supremacy in public discourse
🔍 If a crisis helps one group consolidate unchecked power — and that group also controlled the environment — it’s not a coincidence.

📌 Verdict:

9 May was not just a crackdown.
It was a carefully staged operation that used real public emotion to fabricate a controlled explosion
and then blamed the fire on the very people who were being set up.
PTI was reckless (while their leader was facing court hearings), no doubt. But the Army was calculating.

PDM gave political cover, the courts went mute, the media amplified the noise — and the public was played. "9 May" have all the hallmarks of a false-flag operation orchestrated by the very State - meant to protect its citizens.
