The argument of army supporting politicians is as infantile as it could be. IK himself came into power with the help of army generals. Pasha was one of them and Faiz was another. IK was wandering in wilderness of Pakistani politics for so long before he decided to get the army help to come to power. It was again army which helped him come into power after realizing that he won't be able to get the power if he isolates himself.
The role of the army in Politics is very relevant and one it must exercise. Why do politicians always go to generals for help? IK did the same and the other also did it one time of other. Pakistan is a security state. It is not just another country because of the Indian existential threat. It will never be a just another country period.
Army will never allow these corrupt politicians to once again create a situation where the country's security will be jeopardized. That is why the role of the army will remain in the politics and its development.
