Qazi Isa was the man who engineered the flawed elections in Pakistan. This man was involved in pre as well as post-election rigging. While agencies and handlers of PML (N) & PPP were playing games to steal the election, this man looked the other way, and none of the judges at the Supreme Court interjected or tried to tell the king that he had no clothes.
The main agenda of the government formed after the stolen election was to clean their tracks. The day a man was going to be indicted for corruption was chosen to be the Prime Minister of the country. Of course, he has to make laws applying retrospectively to clean their loot & corruption.
The stolen election also resulted in political instability, erosion of trust, a weak/in-competent, regional tensions, human rights violations, international relations, and economic opportunities, to just name a few. Now that Qazi is gone what is stopping these judges from standing up, accepting their mistakes, and trying to correct them?
New Chief Justice is doing mantra of 60,000 pending cases in the Supreme Court. Are 60,000 cases more important than what is affecting 220 million people? While he is still in his honeymoon period the man has so far shown no inclination to address the biggest problem the country has - a flawed election.

Pakistan’s democracy, its military, and America
The Biden administration claims that democracy is a key focus. Yet, it has largely dropped the ball when it comes to Pakistan's election.

The country’s polls were marred by delayed results and charges of rigging. Worse, they might plunge Pakistan into an even deeper political crisis.
