don't be of those that fail to recognize good when it comes to you - no matter where it comes from.... if Hazrat Muhammad SAW had not pardoned the people of Ta'if, Muhammad Bin Qasim may not have been....
The last khutbah of Rasool Allah SAW was about this very fact that none is superior to another but based on taqwa, and for a hijabi lady to finally make it to the parliment in todays world is indeed a task to be appreciated, representation matters...

Well I'm not that good of a Muslim yet. And I really don't care about hijabi women, in fact I feel sorry for them. That these poor creatures dress up like this for no other reason because someone told them this is what God wants.

Just like the same way I feel sorry for our Sardar brothers who you see out in 47 48C heat with 90% plus humidity in the middle of the summer with those huge turbans on just because someone told them this is what their guru wants.

2 things:
1. I dont think the hijabi ladies/sardars wear hijab/turban to get approval from the likes of you, your statement is a blanket statement that is not true (even if 1 person does it purely as they feel proud/more imaaan in their hearts - so be it)
2. Just cuz I don't approve of gays here in the west does not mean I go around telling the world or my gay colleagues 'oh I feel so sorry for you' since that will only infuriate them and not add any positive value - a silent word is better than creating additional hatred in this already hate filled world...

The rest is up to each individual, you will go to your own grave, n I will go to mine -- not your mum, dad, siblings, your own, so ponder carefully of the words you choose for indeed as Muhammad SAW said (paraphrasing), if you guarantee me 2 things, I can guarantee you jannah (the two things being that which is between your mouth and legs)....

Furthermore, not someone, rather the Quran -- that being said I think it is upto to lady whether she wants to do it or not - as opposed to the Pak society that forces it upon the girls...
Interestingly enough the reasoning given in this ayah is one that a non mulsim lady recently gave as well (that when shes covered up, she noticed men dont gawk at her n let her be in peace)...
“O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.” (Quran 33:59).

I just tell you how I felt, nothing more nothing less.

Where did you read me saying that I go up to people and tell them that? You are just making up stuff now. Like I said above that is just how I feel, never said I go up to anybody and tell them that. Is rest of your post becomes irrelevant then, so I won't address it.
Furthermore, not someone, rather the Quran
No where does the Quran tell women to dress up like ninjas, but just modestly, that's it

This ayat was revealed for a certain people at a certain time for a certain period, not a blanket statement for all eternity. That's what happens when you read things out of context.

Here is a under 1 minute explanation

Fair enough, not saying you said it to someone, I was merely referring to you saying you feel sorry for them, but yes u have an opinion n so do I so no harm done.

Im not sure about the ninja part so can't argue that, but I do disagree with 'for a certain people at a certain time for a certain period' - Quran by its very nature is timeless, for all eternity, not merely for when the Prophet SAW was present in this dunya.

That being said, Lakum Deenukum WaliYadeen... good day sir (atleast you're not like the patwaris who cannot hold a civil argument/disagreement! ?)

Yes it is timeless but out of context I can want it to mean anything I want. Just like Islamophobes do with ayahs like kill jews where ever you see them, so now a big chunk of the western population think Muslim by their very nature and teaching are enemies of jews and suppose to kill them where ever we should happen to see them.

So yeah context is not just very important, it is crucial.

Im not sure about the ninja part so can't argue that
Well I can assure you it doesn't if fact the world hijab is not even mentioned in the Quran in relation to a woman's clothing. There is actually only one verse in the Quran that refers to a woman's dress code (24:31) And it doesn't say anything about dressing like a ninja wrapped up head to toe

I listened to her speech. It was a moving speech.A 27 year old girl made a better speech than the old donkeys in Pakistani parliament. Our MNAs and Senators spout rubbish.I don’t care if she is from Afghanistan or wears an hijab.I care about her ideas and ideals, her commitment and dedication and serving her constituents.Credit goes to Australians for electing this girl whose parents are working class immigrants. In Pakistan a working class person has zero chance of getting elected. You have to be a criminal like most of PDM or a bigot like Fazlu to get into parliament.

You don’t have to be a Muslim to see the good in humans. You just need to be a humble person to see through and appreciate the kindness.

I honestly could careless about some afghanis sob story
It could be anyone, it just happened in this case to be an afghan so what. The story of hardship is compelling for those leaving their mother land due to hash circumstances and you see them successful with their inspiring stories to be appreciated.

A lot can be said about Afghans. However, they are clearly demonized in our country without acknowledging the destabilizing role played by our agencies and dollar generals in their country at the behest of their masters in the West.

It's time to empathize with them based on how we are being treated by these traitors within.
