What a bipolar nation we are ..... we swing to the extremes, every time.

Women's dress against the Islamic codes of decency is not a reflection of women liberation. It is a display of indecency, in plain simple words.

Conversely speaking, neither an imposed burqa is a sign of women empowerment as well.

However, the signs of women empowerment and liberation are:

1- Access to Education and Health

2- Access to fair & fast legal remedies, specially in the cases of inheritance, harassment and domestic violence.

3- Access to Communication and rights of freedom of expression, freedom of association and freedom of movement.

4- Access to professional jobs on merit basis

The reasons of Anti-Islamic culture before 1970's in Muslim Countries are simply that after the fall of the Muslim Empire in WWII, it was the western strategy to annihilate religion in the neo-colonial states, so that there should never be a congregation on religious grounds. This started from Ahmed Kamal (Ata Turk).

Reasons for Islamic Radicalization, post 1970:
The cold war between US and USSR required the use of mercenary militia groups and religion is the best way to motivate people to die for. Therefore, Pro-Islamic regimes all over the Islamic world started to get backing from either US or USSR.

We have always been on the receiving end and remained utterly foolish.
