Custom Duty on an old 23 Inch LCD Monitor

Guys,

A friend of mine is moving from Dubai to Lahore. And he wants to bring his desktop computer and monitor with him. What would be the custom duty on the 23 inch LCD monitor? Will be it be the same calculation like a regular TV LCD? And any custom on the desktop PC?

If he can bring that monitor in suitcase then there will not be any duty.

tell him to sell it in dubai, and buy a good piece 23-25 incl lcd for 5-6 thousands from Karachi.
btw, as far as i know, used items don't have any duty.

6000 PKR for a 24inch LCD in Pakistan!? Wow. The one's I found out used were selling for atleast 12000 PKR.

I am not sure now ,but few years back there was no duty on one set of personal computer ! better you check latest customs tariff

bhai about 2 months pehlay technocenter se liya hai used lcd 24 inch ka. 6000 mein he. haan tha woh kisi unknown company wala, not philips,nec,sharp etc. Office colleague was very happy with it.
I have asus wide screen 24 inch lcd, i bought 3 years back in 8500 only, now it's just sitting there, since i don't use desktop anymore.

I understand the universally no custom on used personal things if they are not sealed packed. We bring laptops mobile phones in hand right? So I would suggest this is our used PC for children use or some one.

remove packaging and declare as used one!
remove the stand and wrap it in clothes or bubble wrap
