Here Are The First 3-People To Enter Hell

According to a hadith, the first three people whom Allah will call to send them to hell will be a scholar, a martyr, and a wealthy man. The hadith is as follows:

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say:

The first of people against whom judgment will be pronounced on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who died a martyr. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favors and he will recognize them. [ The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I fought for you until I died a martyr. He will say: You have lied – you did but fight that it might be said [of you]: He is courageous. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire.

[Another] will be a man who has studied [religious] knowledge and has taught it and who used to recite the Quran. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favors and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I studied [religious] knowledge and I taught it and I recited the Quran for Your sake. He will say: You have lied – you did but study [religious] knowledge that it might be said [of you]: He is learned. And you recited the Quran that it might be said [of you]: He is a reciter. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire.

[Another] will be a man whom Allah had made rich and to whom He had given all kinds of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favors and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I left no path [untrodden] in which You like money to be spent without spending in it for Your sake. He will say: You have lied – you did but do so that it might be said [of you]: He is open-handed. And so it was said. dear shumayun sb, you are absolutely right but my question was about a particular point. Warning or making aware or alerting someone about some danger in order to save someone is very different from showing him the path to hell. To interpret the quran properly is absolutely necessary rather than just writing word for word translation of the quran. This is why I am against people quoting translations because they are out of their proper context. They show God is in the wrong rather than human beings.

The quran no where puts blame upon God but the way it is translated does exactly that. It is because people take the verses of the quran as lists of things. People do not read related verses together to get the right sense of them. For example, the quran tells people to kill kufaar and it also tells do not kill kufaar. Not only that it also gives reasons why to do so and why not to do so. So to interpret the quranic text properly one has to explain the verses and not translate the verses or confusion will result and that is what has caused countless problems not only between muslims and nonmuslims but also between muslims as well.

Read the entire hadith. The problem is show off. Allah is very particular about shirk. Showing off or doing good deeds just to raise your social status and get wows from humans is indeed shirk and Allah will not forgive this even if it is a martyr or an aalim or a rich man.

Problem is people only want to hear what appeals to them. Allah wants everyone to ditch their own will and submit to HIS WILL.

First of all how is sacrificing your life in battle is showing off or shirk? And how is showing off shirk? At worse it can be called takkabur, certainly a displeasing trait but certainly not worthy of eternal damnation either.

That's the problem with a lot of hadith they contradict and go against the Quran and general spirit of Islam. And by default, even hardcore hadith centric people should take any hadith by Abu Huraira with a massive grain of salt.

As this Hadith says, Jazah & Sazah are based on one's intentions, not actions. For example, one may be an Islamic scholar but uses that knowledge for worldly gains, like personal, political then there is severe punishment for those people.

But still explain to me how this applies to someone who sacrifices his life in battle in Allah's way. Or someone who his entire life spends his hard earned in money in the way of Allah, while also wanting to be knows are someone who does this.

I get the shouldn't get any reward part, in fact thats what I've also argued, but till doesn't resolve the eternal damnation part and you still didn't clarify how takkabur can be classified as shirk nor how making the ultimate sacrifice in battle can also be deemed as shirk and deserving of eternal hell. Just doesn't add up.

Most hadith are all wonky and go against the teachings of the Quran and spirit of Islam so one should be very careful to just blindly follow them, specially the ones coming from Abu Huraira and unfortunately majority of the hadith are narrated from this narrator.

azeezam knowledge sb, when we know from the quran that God does not do anything bad to anyone then it is important to interpret such parts of the verses in that context. What God is saying here in 14/4 is that he lets people live as they wish. It in no way means one wants to be good but God turns him bad. This is why I reject mullaan translations because they are out of context. They put God in bad light. Humans are given freedom to live as they wish but guidance of God is there for them to help them guide themselves by it if they so choose. God does not forcefully guide people or for that matter misguide them.

Who told the hadith writers about it? Only Allah knows who will enter paradise or hell.
