Police beat Muslim on the streets of India

Report by ASIM KHAN. The situation in the Bihar town of Bhagalpur turned ugly on Tuesday evening when police opened fire on a mob of protesters agitating against an incident of police brutality. The agitators were accusing the police of communal bias after a Muslim man was beaten up on streets of the town for allegedly stealing a chain. The gory images of the man being tied to a police motorcycle and dragged around town were splashed across news channels.
