A new ‘atrocity literature’ by a US-based 'research' org- 'Hindutva Watch' is in use by media– both Indian & intl to peddle the narrative of fascism in India.But DID YOU KNOW #HindutvaWatch has a Pakistani hand behind it which has direct links with Pak's ruling party? Exposé:
HW started as a Twitter handle in 2019, & its website also became operational in the same year. It had no fathers until owned by Raqib Hameed Naik in 2023 with the help of WaPo journo Pranshu Verma. Verma didn’t even check the dates claiming it was founded in April 2021!
#HindutvaWatch was not the only project of Raqib Naik. He had also associated with another anti-India propaganda front ‘TwoCircles’, which is part of a larger info-war network run by Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan affiliates. We come back to this in a while.
Back to #HindutvaWatchTruth has a tendency to surface. An ‘interactive map’ embedded on the website of Hindutva Watch gave away the role of the Pakistani establishment. The map has been embedded and run by one Sardar Adil Kayani.
Kayani developed this ‘interactive’ map on October 13, 2021, and uploaded it on the Hindutva Watch website on October 21, 2022. To date, the map hasn’t been used elsewhere except the HW website, implying it was specially curated for this project.
Kayani not only runs anti-India propaganda but also runs PML-N’s propaganda in Pakistan. He has been running a similar ‘interactive map’ showcasing the ‘achievements’ of the ruling PML-N govt.
A true Pakistani, Kayani also runs propaganda on Kashmir. He launched a ‘signature campaign’ on Kashmir on Change dot org in 2017 echoing Pak’s ‘Free Kashmir’ demand. As expected, he also contributes his 2 cents towards the enterprise of dismembering India.
Kayani has stayed in the past in UK (2005-7) & Russia(2007-13) per his LinkedIn. That is not all. He is a key player in anti-India propaganda. His alter ego on social media– Cyrus Kayani– has been associated with another Pak establishment enterprise – Global Village Space.
Global Village Space (GVS) is home to host of anti-India narratives– from Kashmir to Khalistan to all other secessionist projects– a consistent & long cherished dream of Pak establishment across the govts & dictators. (digging deeper reveals some interesting names on GVS)
It is interesting to note that he tries to keep his Twitter identity (meant for domestic propaganda) and his other identity (meant for external propaganda) separate – using his different avatars.
