Imran Khan strongly condemns the statement of the Indian PM Manmohan Singh regarding Pakistan
April, 3 2009
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, Imran Khan, has strongly condemned the statement issued by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today in London (April 02 2009). Prime Minister Manmohan described Pakistan being the "epicenter of terrorism in the world". Mr. Khan said there were no Pakistanis involved in the 9/11 attack in the US. Also he stated that Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden rose from the CIA policies during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan (in the 1980s).

Mr. Khan also stated that before 2004, Pakistan did not play any host to suicide bombings whatsoever. However as a result of the Bush/Musharaff strategy & drone attacks, Pakistan has been dragged into a war that is not its own. The devastating results include the significant increase in suicide bombings and continuous fighting along the border. The effects of the war in Afghanistan and the USA policies are both to blame for the uprise in terrorism. Regarding problems between India and Pakistan, Mr. Khan said that both countries need to resolve the Kashmir issue based on the will of the people of Kashmir. Groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba etc are a by product of the movement of independence in Kashmir.
