In the context of subversion.... subvert our derision

As discussed multiple times, the economy of Pakistan is not going haywire from here. It's the same mantra which every Government speaks of, in the times of the temporary reliefs gained on the loans of IMF. The Pakistani economy might show a green light at the moment, for our liquidity, but our strategy still reeks of the same structural flaws --We are bound to crash after a while, again, and harder than before.

This remains no conundrum that Pakistan's economy is flooded with its structural flaws, that are not on the priority list of any political government, because they are the beneficiaries of these systemic flaws. The parliament itself consists of (or are backed by) these strong industrial mafias. Sugar, Flour, Cooking Oil/Ghee, cement, steel, .... you name it. Hoarders, embezzlers and fraudsters have filled every political post in the country. There are only a few that do not have these credentials.

They are least interested in turning these loss making SOE's profitable or just get rid of them on the right price. They are least interested in making our electrical distribution systems work on Pre-paid billing, because their own factories and mills will slash the windfall profits out of this national thievery. They are not interested in anything, as far as it does not come in the way of their businesses.

On the other hand, every corruptest and failed Government institution is headed by Hazir or retired servicemen. FPSC, WAPDA, NEPRA, OGRA, NADRA, NAB .... you name it.

These gentlemen, although are adept in their field, but were never trained for these battlegrounds of public sector services. Even if their inherent need of nepotism and induction of more ex-servicemen in the department, is taken for granted, they just multiply the cores of confusion and add to the mismanagement of the department.

Pakistan's economy cannot mend unless we address the basic structural problems it has. We have to plug in the budget leaks, we need to reform our power sector, we need to revitalize our agriculture and we seriously need to change our internal market structure.

For example: When the sugar industry asks you for subsidy on sugar export for excess sugar for the lack of storage space for the new production, Government should procure the sugar from the mill owners and sell it on subsidized rates to the people. In this way, the real stakeholder will reap the benefit and the subsidy will reach the poor than the industrialist.

All this cannot happen if there are not the right people placed at the right places. The Bureaucracy should be handled by the Bureaucrats and the industry should be handled by the subject specialists of economy, finance, engineering, environment, etc., provided that they do not have any visible side of interest in the industry. Above all; They should all have a will to do things in our National Interest

Only then we can get out of this boom bust cycle of our economy. Only then we can emerge as a strong nation, able to very strongly defend its integrity and sovereignty.

Otherwise, we will be keep receiving these small cuts and blows everyday, on our body and one day, we may not find any more blood in our veins.

Pakistan either needs a mid term election or if the establishment is so fearful of Khan, then invoke a national emergency and assign a task force for 3 years in the country, who should be sheer technocrats.

The ire of people is due to their lives getting harder everyday. Choking social media is not the solution. If you really have something good to show to the people, they will like it.

We want to live as decent and and respectable people in the world. We want our dignity and pride back --The things we deserve!
