Hoor is plural. It means intelligent, virtuous companions, mates, or wives and husbands. Haoorah is a feminine gender singular meaning a virtuous, intelligent lady. Ahwar is masculine gender singular meaning a virtuous, intelligent man.

The Qur'an has always used the plural form Hoor meaning virtuous, intelligent spouses. But with Hoor, our Mullah can only think and dream of beautiful, gorgeous, voluptuous, heavenly beauties (which he is not going to get anyway).

Maybe you haven't been reading my posts and threads of late. I'm on your side per se, but I can never fall for that crap G.A.P was peddling. The way he twisted and contorted Arabic to fit into his own delusions is absurd to say the least.
Ironically you posted Ghamdi's video before G.A.Ps. You know that man in his entire lengthy career has never said anything negative about anyone save for only one time, because it was so absurd he felt had to make an exception, go out of his and published an hour long video which pretty much destroyed G.A.Ps whole razzmatazz and his ridiculous self made version of Arabic.

Both Perwez as well as Ghamidi are considered as Modernists. Perwez never stopped any of his listeners from adopting differences (albeit in a civilized manner). Will try listening to Ghamidi sahab too even though his criticism is/was most likely due to association with Maududi . I bet it has evolved by now after over 34 years.

That's beside the point. I watched GAPs videos long before Ghamdis destroyer of him and since I do known Arabic somewhat. I came to pretty much to the same conclusion that no one really understood Arabic until this one man born in Bhatinda India "deciphered" it.

Translating birds as fast horses and jinns as desert living Bedouins....Yeah right! As I mentioned earlier he was just trying to twist and deform the Quran to fit into some story of his own. Thats when I was pretty sure, this miracle of bhatinda was a huge waste of time.

Some years later I came across Ghamdis video, confirming what I already knew. And having listened to Ghamdi a lot, I doubt his views are any different about the miracle of bhatinda today from what they were back then.
