July 15, 2016: The night Turkey stood up for democracy

Tanks on the Bosporus Bridge (now the July 15 Martyrs Bridge), fighter jets bombing the Turkish Parliament, public and private institutions under siege and an attempt to either kidnap or murder the president – the night leading from the 15th to the 16th of July 2016 will forever be a part of Turkey’s collective memory.

A small faction of the nation’s military under the command of the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) had staged a heinous coup attempt with the barbaric aim to destroy modern Turkish democracy and install a dictatorship instead. Yet what the terrorists had not anticipated was all of Turkey taking to the streets to defend exactly the former: their cherished way of life, their personal and societal liberties and freedoms – democracy indeed.

Before we approach the issue of explaining to our esteemed international readers why the Turkish people spoke up so vehemently and above all else unanimously against the putschists, let us pause a moment and pay respect to the 251 martyrs who lost their lives during the fateful events and recall the 2,196 injured citizens.

That happened in Turkey, they had strong political party with upright leadership in the cadre who changed people's life for the better. When people feel like they have a stake in the system, their lives are getting better then they come out whereas in Pakistan, the last government was focusing more on creating a hue and cry against the so called corruption and was busy giving Roohani education. People were abusing the government day in and day out, but still God gave PTI a chance to stand against the system, to bring in a real change in the state structure of Pakistan but its coward leadership missed that opportunity. I bet if PP or Noon or even Diesel had enjoyed such support and back by the public with a sentiment against FOUJ, they would have taken the control in the first week against FOUJ. Just imagine that Diesel, Noon hd little support in public, only their diehard core members and still they brought FOUJ on its knees, on the other hand what PTI did pr is doing is in front of you.
And then you are giving the example of Turkish Stand up for democracy and kicking their FOUJ back in barracks. No my friend, that would never happen here as long as we have cowardice in our civilian leadership. The bold people are never allowed to come up, they are nipped in the bud by propaganda, even today, after all this, if you call Asma Jahangir a hero of our nation, people will start shouting on you because the internees of Ghafoor's cell made her an agent and cow piss drinker and what not.

I think you are one of those urine drinkers as well and stop giving lectures on bravery here. IK and the people will do what they want at the time they want to attaon their objectives with minimum damage. So please get lost.

The political and financial scenario is evident for a massive clash between the general public and looters. In my opinion, despite being nailed repeatedly IK is trying his best to lead the event in a way toward minimum collateral damage.

Before giving more examples and options give us only one instance in the last 5000 years where the people of what is Pakistan have stood up for their rights. The people are more than ten generations of slaves and changing their DNA requires another millennium. What happened in the Showbaz and son money laundering case. The judiciary stated that they cannot change any law passed by a filthy parliament even if all Pakistan is allotted to the Ganja family. How Inspiring--------. Bundiyal and company have raped the country and now are laughing at the shape of the people's cunt.
