Why not Army officers should select their chiefs in highly secret ballot on line without any campaigning.
Same to be done for Chief justices in SC , HC and lower judiciary. Rest of judges should .

No. An Army Chief and Judicial Chief is a subordinate to the constitution and the administrator of constitution is the parliament and Prime Minister is the majority voice of the parliament. Though, if the parliament passes an amendment, I have no problem if Senior most is appointed as Chief.

At that time Kayani was about to be given 3rd term by Sharifs
I was hearing horrible details from officers there.
