Pakistan is one of resource rich countries in the world having a large amount of coal, gas, gemstones, copper and gold reserves. Other resources also included oil, iron, titanium and aluminum which are a necessity for any growing economy. Details of natural resources of Pakistan are given in the end.

NATURAL-RESOURCES-OF-PAKISTAN.jpg

Now the real story which i have to tell you about all these resources. Everyone can provide you the details of these resources and it is available on web but the matter is how can we utilize the resources for the betterment of Pakistan. 40% Natural Gas is losses in pipeline every year according to SNGPL. We can prevent this loss by changing the strategy. A large number of users are not paying gas bills and hundred of factories and other manufacturing plants are using gas without meters including heavy weight industrialists and politicians. We can terminate the system of pipeline in Pakistan as other parts of world are also not delivering gas through pipelines. In this way, the 40% immediate line losses will be resolved and no gas without billing will be faced by the gas providing companies. We can install some LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) plants to liquify our “Sui Gas”. In this way, those who will pay for a cylinder of gas will buy gas on company outlets or private stores and in the result Pakistan will get rid of a big problem.

Coal is also named as “black gold” in the world and we have a large amount of Coal Reserves in Pakistan. Main discoveries are Lakhra, Sonda, Thatta, Jherruck and Thar. These can add a great share to the progress of the economy of Pakistan. The coal can also be transformed into Diesel, Gas and the process also experimented by a noble scientist of Pakistan, Dr Samar Mubarakmand. Coal Fields at Jehlum, Mach, Ziarat, Chamalang and Kingri are also secondary level resources.
Potohar region is an oil rich region in Pakistan. Some parts of Baluchistan also have oil but Pakistan is famous for Coal and Gas rather than Oil. For now, Pakistan is importing Oil for fulfilling its requirements but oil fields of Pakistan have enough potential that it can produce more than its requirements.

Gold Resources of Pakistan are real worth which also seduces foreign countries to its gold rich areas like Sandak and Reko-Dik Gold Mines in Baluchistan which are famous for Gold and Copper. Pakistan have enough gold that it can collect more gold than America and China in its reserves but only will is needed.

In the end, the most valuable thing are the gemstones of Pakistan. Pakistani gemstones include a variety of minerals such as peridot, aquamarine, topaz, ruby and emerald making the country significant in the mineral world. Chillas, Gilgit, Hunza, Swat, Dir, Mansehra, Kohistan, Khyber Agency, Bajaur Agency, Mohmand Agency, Waziristan, Chaman, Taftan, Panjgur, Chaghai, Panjgur, Kallat, Loralai and Kharan are gemstones rich areas. Those who want to get rid of paper currency can use these stones along with gold, silver and copper as real wealth and wide range of gemstones allows Pakistan to get rid of paper currency.

Following are the details of natural resources of Pakistan which are needed to utilize for the economic boom in Pakistan.

1- Coal:

Pakistan recently discovered one low and four low-to-medium quality coal seams in the Punjab. Low sulfur coal was recently reported at the Baluchistan and near Islamabad. Bituminous, sub-bituminous, and lignite coal have been found in Pakistan.
Coal reserves are estimated at 175 billion tons. This would equate to 618 billion barrels of crude oil. When compared to oil reserves his is more than twice the amount of the top four countries. If At KSA’s current usage, the reserves would last more than 200 years.

2- Oil and Gas:

Natural gas production is at a high level in Pakistan. Estimated reserves are 885.3 billion cubic meters. Gas fields are expected to last for another 20 years. The Sui gas field is the largest, accounting for 26% of Pakistan’s gas production. Daily production is 19 million cubic meters a day. Under the barren mountains of Balochistan and the sands of Sindh, there are untouched oil and gas reserves.

3- Other Minerals:

Pakistan has large gold/copper ore deposits at Saindak. There are large deposits of rock salt in the Pothohar Plateau. Pakistan’s mineral resources include reserves of gypsum, limestone, chromites, iron ore, rock salt, silver, precious stones, gems, marbles, tiles, sulfur, fire clay, and silica sand.

Other than these, Pakistan have also good quality of Uranium at Dera Ghazi Khan region but Uranium details are not made public by authorities.

[h=2]SUNDAY, JUNE 16, 2013[/h][h=3]US EIA Estimates Pak Shale Oil Reserves at 9.1 Billion Barrels[/h]

odiogo_listen_now_77x18.gif

Pakistan has more shale oil than Canada, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) report released on June 13, 2013.

The US EIA report estimates Pakistan's total shale oil reserves at 227 billion barrels of which 9.1 billion barrels are technically recoverable with today's technology. In addition, the latest report says Pakistan has 586 trillion cubic feet of shale gas of which 105 trillion cubic feet (up from51 trillion cubic feet reported in 2011) is technically recoverable with current technology.

The top ten countries by shale oil reserves include Russia (75 billion barrels), United States (58 billion barrels), China (32 billion barrels), Argentina (27 billion barrels), Libya (26 billion barrels), Venezuela (13 billion barrels), Mexico (13 billion barrels), Pakistan (9.1 billion barrels), Canada (8.8 billion barrels) and Indonesia (7.9 billion barrels).

Pakistan's current annual consumption of oil is only 150 million barrels. Even if it more than triples in the next few years, the 9.1 billion barrels currently technically recoverable would be enough for over 18 years. Similarly, even if Pakistan current gas demand of 1.6 trillion cubic feet triples in the next few years, it can be met with 105 trillion cubic feet of technically recoverable shale gas for more than 20 years. And with newer technologies on the horizon, the level of technically recoverable shale oil and gas resources could increase substantially in the future.

As can be seen in the shale resource map, most of Pakistan's shale oil and gas resources are located in the lower Indus basin region, particularly in Ranikot and Sembar shale formations.

Since the middle of the 18th century, the Industrial Revolution has transformed the world. Energy has become the life-blood of modern economies. Energy-hungry machines are now doing more and more of the work at much higher levels of productivity than humans and animals who did it in pre-industrial era. Every modern, industrial society in history has gone through a 20-year period where there was extremely large investment in the power sector, and availability of ample electricity made the transition from a privilege of an urban elite to something every family would have. If Pakistan wishes to join the industrialized world, it will have to do the same by having a comprehensive energy policy and large investments in the power sector. Failure to do so would condemn Pakistanis to a life of poverty and backwardness.

The availability of large domestic shale oil and gas expands the opportunity to reducePakistan's dependence on imports to overcome the current energy crisis and to fuel the industrial economy. But it'll only be possible with high priority given to investments in developing the energy sector of the country.

average man???????:13: this may be your opinion not others, am i right? an average(common) man of this country atleast try to mention the facts but our leaders always try to hide the real facts from their people, they never told truth because they always keep involve in huge corruption.

Kindly please dont say that our 60%youth or a Average/common person dont have morality.. first we should sweep before our own door that what we are doing even we are not providing the basic and strong initial education in a right manner, so how can we expect something to be a good but the other hand we should appreciate our youth/common/Average person who did well for Nation.

There is absolutely no "poor" country in the world whatsoever when Allah has blessed every land with plenty of resources. Some are wealthy in oil where as others have gas, agriculture and what not!. Africa has gold and oil yet due to poor management and corruption have been unable to escape the poverty cycle.

The world has enough for us to live like one happy family and eat until we drop with plenty of everything to share. Pakistan has plenty of everything as well especially corrupt politicians;) With the return of the caliphate entire humanity will benefit and live the Islamic dream, inshallah.

My friend you hit the bulls eye!;) & What exactly i got the point from your comment is "Africa should be our an example that how amrican & other developed countries interfered & converted their Nation into civil war, where millions have died and many still living in object poverty and fear. They Cant even use their resources for their poeple same like pakistan,

Africans to have sole control over their resource not like the case of France and Niger Republic over Uranium extraction and many more unknown. Its clear and gearing that development will only come when people trust and believe in themselves when doing business where the society is peaceful.

India is
extracting Coal from Thar in pakistan with the help of our corrupt leaders and bureaucrats and what a jock that pakistan is purchasing it`s own Coal from india(clap) in order to run the Steel Mill in Karachi, although we have the 1st largest Coal mine in the world but it`s not for pakistani what a jock, there are more unknown development countries involvement for Natural Resources of Pakistan, Sandak(Gold Resource) is an other example of it. and the beggist jock is that our paper/electronic media not disscussing that matter. so on so on so on....:angry_smile:

you agree with me or not but We need a Visionary leader like imran khan(the only hope of pakistan youth)
