Islamic doctrine is based on revealing the total Nature of Divinity who is the One without a partner. It is a revealed Deen (religion) as are Judaism and Christianity with common ancestors. It is not an ideology, which are man-made phenomenon like Communism, Socialism and Democracy. If I live anywhere in the United States of America or United Kingdom or in any other country in Europe, they are not a dar-al-harb (abode of confrontation, violence, hostility or battle) but it is my dar-al-Islam (house of peace) as I live in peace and harmony amongst my neighbours and my country folks. Every Muslim must live in peace, harmony and love with their fellow human beings without racial, religious and cultural prejudices.
Muslims are instructed in the Quran not to veer to extremes but adhere to 'ummatum wassatun (middle path)' and refrain from an excess of any kind and the majority of us in the UK sincerely strive to attain this middle ground, which is the most fertile ground in which to practice our Deen as Allah intended for us: an Islam of peace, compassion, mercy, tolerance and justice for all. Throughout history, political extremists of all faiths and colours have willingly given up lives simply in the belief that by doing so, whether in the bombing or in other forms of terror, they would change the course of history or at least win an advantage for their cause. Kamikaze pilots, IRA, Basque Separatists and the Tami Tigers are not Muslims but they blew up bombs and killed hundreds of thousands of innocent beings.
These attacks of 9/11, 7/7 and in Bali were not compatible with Islam which cautions soldiers “in the way of Allah” to fight their enemies face-to-face without harming non-combatants, women, and children and also forbids harming their, farms, orchids or livestock. And, if they willingly surrender, escort them to a place of safety at the peril of your lives so that no harm should come to them.

So who are the terrorists?
